Whilst on our holiday in Hartland we found this pub on the quay.. What fantastic views and wonderful walks. We ate here quite a few nights as the food was very good and the service was excellent. We usually booked as they were very busy and the pub filled up quite quickly. The pub was a bit out dated with... More

A standard pub meal here, but a little pricey in my opinion. That said there was very little local competition. The fish and chips were fine, a decent piece of fish well cooked, but the chips were mass catering quality. The interior was a little dated but OK. Drinks were fine.

We stayed here for one night whilst cliff path walking. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the sunset can be stunning on a sunny day. The room was fine, and the bathroom was spacious with plenty of hot water, we were lucky enough to have some views of the sea. The food was fine, we had the curry,... More

I've passed the Hartland Quay Hotel on three occasions, without spending a night there, but I've always thought it would be a great place to stay. Having finally stayed there, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a remote hotel on a rugged coast. I always imagined that the weather would wreak havoc with the building, and that it... I took an old friend to visit Hartland Quay yesterday. The rock formations are amazing, and views of the wild sea around the rocky shore. We had lunch in the Hotel. It was very busy, but we managed to get a table. Pasty and chips. The pasty was OK, could have been a lot worse, but not the best I've... More

Driving to the Hartland Quay Hotel and getting glimpse of the coast only enhances the feeling you get when you arrive in the carpark. The hotel /pub is in a remote spot but it has the most fantastic views over the quay and up and down the coast. The hotel has many rooms and the one we had was no.17... More

We went there for one night but decided to extend our holiday because we fall in love with this place! Absolutely amazing location, views of the cliffs and beach are superb. A great escape from the city! The hotel was fine, our room was very big and the bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated. The food was good... More

Great location if you like to stay at the sea and away from any town. The rooms have a direct view at the sea westwards, so all set for nice sunsets. The pub with its terrace serves good dishes and not only average pub food.

Picked this hotel for the rugged location. This is a fantastic place to visit. Hotel a bit tired but rooms good and clean. Wreckers retreat does good pub food and is friendly. Some good walks and great place to get away. Would go again.
