We booked it to stay over a night for a friends wedding.. First impression was..omg..it actually stinks of dead people! I don't know where this smell is from but it's disgusting. We can not even check in until 2pm and we have to go for a wedding at 3pm.. Hotel is seriously disgusting out of fashion. Staff is horrible ..... More

From the outside this Hotel looks quite inviting with a spacious car park. Unfortunately that was the good bit. The receptionist took three phone calls while we stood in front of her and waited for her attention! Eventually she took our details and handed over the room key. We had much the same lack of attention from a male receptionist... More

My colleague had booked the hotel as part of a business trip. He said the place looked fine from the website. Trading standards would have a field day. From the coach load of visitors in the lobby, the faux would panelling everywhere, the aloof receptionist, the two minute silent life trip and a room so awful I didn't even get... More

Rambling, shabby chic, country English hotel. It is easy to get lost in the twisty, rambling hallways....our room looked like it had been decorated from a boot sale. The beds were so soft it felt like sleeping in a hammock. The breakfast was very good, offering full English with cooked to order eggs, omelets, and fish dishes and well as... More

This looks like it should be a really nice hotel. Money has been spent on the communal rooms - the faux wood panelling looks newish and there was excellent halogen spot lighting everywhere. the bathrooms have been fitted with modern glass sinks and good taps. However, the WiFi is dreadful, the food is adequate although breakfast is quite skimpy on... More

I stayed at the hotel for 3 days and I have to say the food was amazing. The service staff for the restaurant were amazing. The rooms need a makeover, the beds were comfortable but the furniture was old looking. Location was quite good. The wifi was horrendous. My grandson had to sit out in the hall to get a... More

Our friends took us for a Sunday meal.I was very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff who easily found room for us as we not booked in advance. My wife was able to use her electric power which is a MUST. The food was hot and well presented which is most pleasing as often is not even the best... More

First appearances on arrival were very good but this soon changed with a very tired rundown looking interior. £1 deposit for keycard refunded on handing in card at end of visit! (apparently because people forget to hand them in) If you're capable of using the stairs I recommend this option because the lift is too slow to catch cold and... More

Great staff working in a tired and run down hotel where the management appear unconcerned with standards, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. Booked into room 141, which was unbelievably tatty, the headboard was disintegrating and the sofa had collapsed. Moved to room 203, which was okay, but too hot (no air conditioning). Overall, a tired and decrebid hotel, best for coach... More
