Only went for a meal at the restaurant we wasn't staying their, do not go their for food it's basically fawlty towers. It took 40 mins for someone to even bother to take our orders even though they showed us to our seat straight away, our food took 1 hour to come to us which they said was because it... More

In the area for an overnighter and booked this inn as it seemed the best value for money. We were not disappointed as it provided all that we needed. Room was good, light, airy and the bed was huge. I would imagine as our room was at the front the noise of the traffic might bother some people. Shower was... More

I stayed here overnight on a weekday in March. I was a single traveller at a very quiet time. Laura the owner was absolutely charming, the room was warm and comfortable and the breakfast superb. It was a cold night so I was asked to wait in the pleasant lounge while the room was warmed no problem. Excellent evening meal... More

Located right on the highway, the West Country Inn is a nice old pub and hotel. Laura, the landlady, is very friendly. The room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet for the location right on the highway. It is convenient to golf around the area (Royal North Devon, St. Enodoc and Saunton among others) as well as the coast.

We had a wonderful time in the West Country Inn. This was my third stay and I had brought my fiancée for her first trip, she loved it! The spa and gym were a great welcome addition. The food was great as always. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly! When the opportunity arises, we will come again.

A very quaint pub, remote but not too remote, the local shops were about 6 miles away. We arrived early and had a look around, the photographs were spot on on the website. The new gym and jacuzzi were brilliant, although we only used the jacuzzi. The food was amazing and very good quality as well as being big portions... More

We arrived about five o'clock and after freshening-up in the spacious bathroom we had drinks outside. The bedroom was very comfortable and well decorated. The dinner in the bar was excellent and the company of local customers was very enjoyable. Breakfast in the historic dining room was of a very high standard. Overall, a most enjoyable stop over.

Great location for exploring north Devon & Cornish coast. Booked two nights at short notice, & was expecting a little more considering the price. The room was clean & well presented, as was the slightly small shower/ bathroom. The interior of the bar & dining room retains little of its 16th Century origins, though was nicely laid out & welcoming enough.... More

My daughter and I were staying nearby this week, this was our nearest 'dog friendly' pub. We'd had a busy day and just needed some food before heading back to our lodge. We arrived at 17:50 to find the pub closed. Fair enough, so we waited in the garden with our dog til it opened, bearing in mind we had... More

Wow, many apologies if you had been questioned with regard to the skip. I am positive that no offense was made and can only apologise profusely if you felt that it was rude to have been questioned. (There was a large general waste bin next to it.) The skip was the 3rd replacement as there had been numerous fly tipping... More

We had a meal in the bar Food is very reasonable and not unreasnably priced The main problem at the time we visited unfortunately were the locals the language was just to fruity, there is no need. We under stand the landlady needs the income but there has to be a line
