Stayed here whilst visiting relatives in the area. We had one of the garden rooms which was clean and comfortable. Anja the owner is the perfect hostess and made sure that we had a very pleasant and memorable stay. Excellent breakfast. We would certainly return.

The thatched cottage was really lovely. It had everything needed in the room, which was beautiful, and breakfast was delightful. We stayed two nights and had good nights sleep both nights apart from some noise from building work on the first night. The Thatched Cottage was very central to shops, restaurants and pubs with lovely walks around. Staff were friendly... More

We had 2 very relaxed and enjoyable nights at The Thatched Cottage. We were made to feel very welcome and our room, like the rest of the cottage, was decorated in a quirky and individual way. The breakfast choice was excellent and very tasty. We'd definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone (apart from those who don't understand quirky).... More

We have been going here with my mum, who lives in Germany and loves cream tea, for the past 4 years. Its one of the few places left where you can get and authentic cream tea with home made scones and cares. We had a great selection of sandwiches and cakes and it was all delicious.

Stayed with my wife, at very short-notice couple of days at this 400 year-old cottage for our Wedding Anniversary. Left it very late to book, but this gave us the chance to try out two different rooms! (Both on 1st floor). First was 'Jasmine' (they're all named after teas), cosy, with adjacent bathroom rather than en-suite. Stairs for some might... More

We stayed here on the night of our wedding - it was perfect! A beautiful cottage with a charming tea garden where we celebrated our newly- wed status with a bottle of champagne amongst cottage-flowers and the clink of tea-cups. All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was extremely tasty, and made of the best produce. Anya... More

Stayed 2 nights over the bank holiday. Very pleasant welcome, clean, light and comfortable room. Really helpful staff. Tasty breakfast (although not sure about the "smiley face pancakes"). I would not rush back to Brockenhurst, I think I would stay in other parts of the New Forest, but if I were to stay in Brockenhurst I would stay here again

My partner and myself stayed here for 2 nights over the early May bank holiday weekend and it was absolutely excellent. Anya was very welcoming upon arrival and very helpful throughout our stay. We stayed upstairs in the Jasmine room – the stairs are something to experience! The room was clean and tidy and the whole place had a quirky... More

We enjoyed an overnight stay at the Thatched Cottage. The room was comfortable, owner and staff very helpful and food is delicious. The decor is idiosyncratic, quirky. Brockenhurst is a good place for exploring the New Forest by car.

We visited this delightful place for a lunchtime sandwich and drink during Easter 2014. We were made very welcome by the staff including lots of water refills for a very thirsty dog. We ordered our food and when it arrived it was really good food- lots of different filled sarnies, lots of salad and crisps- very filling. Unfortunately we didn't... More
