Looks great from the outside.................Shame about the disgusting, filthy bedrooms and showers. The food ground into the carpets and rotting ham scattered around the breakfast room floor (for THREE days) Inept, inefficient staff to boot. Amazed it hasn't been shut down. more

Just returned from a 3 night break at Rhinefield. Beautiful building in the middle of the New Forest, we stayed in an executive room in the new part of the hotel, good sized room wth a sofa which was great for reading, a large bed and plenty of storage space, as well as a fridge - which came in handy.... more

Room was very clean, average size for a double, and with a good 42" TV. Excellent location, easy to get to and a very impressive first impression. Hotel staff very helpful, as were the restaurant staff. Check in very easy and we were shown to our room. Breakfast was served in two rooms where you could help yourself to juice/cereals... more

Avoid ,unless you want a stressful experience, where many of the staff are either too inexperienced to help, or not interested. Problems reported received baffled stares. Choice of menu particularly sparse for vegetarians or low fat diets. more

Gorgeous walking round here. Our suite was in the new wing and was spacious, comfortable and stylish with a TV at the end of the bath! Our friends' room was in the old part of the building but was ruined by a huge TV console right in front of the window. This and other furnishin was innapropriate in the setting.... more

From the minute you see the hotel, it has the 'wow' factor, looking like a castle set in beautiful forests. We were made to feel welcome straight away as we were welcomed by friendly receptionist Natalie and a lovely wood fire, checked in quickly then she showed us the restaurant and guided us to our room, whilst chatting to us... more

I went with an open mind - I have stayed in many expensive hotels and latey have been quite disappointed because my expectations are very high (see review for Millenium Gloucester). I always expect cleanliness and helpful staff and I have to say this is what I got. Rhinefield house was amazing! At reception the staff were friendly and helpful,... more

My partner and I had a very busy and stressful time leading up to and including the Christmas period, and as a result I thought it would be lovely to take us both away for a night of luxury and indulgence at Rhinefield House. Our first impressions of the building and surrounding area was one of "Wow" this is amazing... more

If you read the reviews on Tripadvisor for Rhinefield House you will probably be left slightly bewildered. Is this a luxury hotel or a glorified Travelodge? We stayed in December 2008, and I took a gamble that it was probably better than some of the negative reviews would have you believe. And it was, but perhaps not as good as... more

Very disapointing stay, rooms very small. Bathroom basic. Hotel cold and unwelcomeing, log fires only on in the morning, and many ornamental fires in public rooms, didnt feel very authentic. More like Faulty Towers........Grounds very beautiful.Staff were very curtious. Eveing meal very poor. more
