we stayed at this lovely hotel in the heart of the new forest for one night only. we were sorry we could not have stayed longer.the hotel is in a wonderful forest setting with the rabbits running freely around the grounds. the old trees are so beautiful as you walk around, the only thing we were a bit disappointed with... more

My husband took me away for a birthday weekend and booked a night in Rhinefield House Hotel, a place we'd been meaning to try. It's in a fantastic location, central in the New Forest and off an Ornamental Drive - bascially in the depths of the forest. It's a beautiful looking building and full of wow factor. We also got... more

We booked this on a very special deal - so it is worth signing up on their web-site. The hotel is in the middle of the New Forest, seemingly miles from everywhere but this is part of the Hotel's charm. The main hotel is a beautiful building but incredibly the new extension, which is totally modern, perfectly complements the old... more

I was nervous before we arrived after having read some reviews about the staff. I have to say, from the moment we checked in - it was all smiles!! Room was not the most amazing I've ever stayed in - but nice enough. And who cares? When you're in such a gorgeous setting, with the New Forest on your doorstep...you're... more

Great place to stay as a base for exploring the forest and attractions within an hours drive. The staff were very attentive. We ate in the brasserie and the food was nice, but we wanted to try other restaurants in the area so we only ate there once. more

Set in the New Forest, it has beautiful surroundings. The room we had was comfortable. The staff were attentive and the food in the brasserie was surprisingly good. It is a good base from which to explore the New Forest. We would go back again should we plan to visit the area. more

The chef started arguing with the waiter about whether or not he had given my order for a burger. I could hear the chef screeching at him from the far side of the restaurant where I was sitting. She eventually agreed he had ordered it and said ok 2 mins. two minutes for a home made burger costing 12.50??. It... more

I really paniced after reading a couple of the reviews on here as we desperately needed a couple of days away. I didn't need to as the hotel was fantastic. The location is beautiful (the car park a very short walk from the hotel, nicely hidden, so you wake up and see trees rather than a car park!). The room... more

I stayed here for a couple of nights in Jan. and was one of the best weekends away I've had. It was in a great location, and the helpful staff made the stay alot better. We got to the hotel and were greated by a friendly receptionist with a smile, think it was a girl called Megan who checked us... more

Lovely situated hotel with many distinguising architectural features. Good base for touring the area with many interesting places to visit. Rooms were kept clean during our stay, but the room was possibly in need of refurbishment. Breakfasts were excellent. Some of descriptions in the menu of the bar lounge were misleading. Description in menu for pot of loose tea for... more
