Stunning location in the middle of the forest and the building is as beutiful in reality as in its pictures. There was a wedding on whilst we were there but unlike other places we've stayed we were not distured by this at all. My main crticism is that inside it does not feel like you are staying in a country... more

On the plus side the position, grounds, and fine dining restaurant are excellent as is the service from all the staff with the exception of the reception staff. The two women we encountered should take note of the very personable approach of the waiters, maids, porters etc. As previous reviewers have noted the hotel is complicated to negotiate, the spa... more

Stayed at this hotel as part of a weddin gparty and we were exremely disppointed. We paid their "special rate" of £195 to be put in the standard room. The room was quite scruffy and dark and along a fairly noisy corridor. We asked to be moved and after much discussion they agreed to move us after the first night... more

I went for drinks with clients we were hoping to hold a future event here. The receptionist was appalling and has no business being in the hospitality business, all I wanted was directions to the bar which was met by a look of distain and a point of the finger, which incidently led me into a wedding and not the... more

My wife and I booked a weekend escape and had a nice time. The hotel has some nice grounds and the setting in the New Forest is great. However, the itself itself is an average experience and doesn't justify the rate we paid. The woman on the front desk was a bit frosty but service elsewhere was generally OK. The... more

I`ve stayed at Rhinefield House with my fiance in 5th July . This is a very lovely hotel, but the staff is very unhelpful and careless. We were on short weekend break ending at Rhinefield. We arrived to the hotel around 5pm. After check in we`ve been told by the receptionist someone will come to show us our room. After... more

This hotel is idylic. Lovely building and beautiful grounds. Outdoor pool and large ponds around which to relax in the evening sun. So what if sometimes you have to wait a little at reception or they are out of something you want like other people complain so much about. Its the peace and tranquility of the place that makes this... more

Stayed at Rhinefield with my wife for 2 nights over bank holiday weekend. The hotel is set in a stunning location however I suspect lack of competition is affecting standards. There were 2 ladies checking in guests, one was very good the other (more junior receptionist) was quite condescending when answering questions. This lady was telling her guests that they... more

This hotel is in a great location. We had a room in the extension, which was poorly designed. The room was modern but very small. The breakfast was great. The biggest problem was the staff. They seemed experienced. Our room wasn't cleaned after our first night, so we called the front desk when we returned to the hotel at 7... more
