This was a beautiful place to stay, right in the forest and plenty of room. The campsite was full on one night, but we didn't feel crowded at all. Great for kids and bikes. The campsite staff were extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about cycling routes etc. They have a "freecycle" area so you can usually borrow a BBQ which was... More

We cannot fault the staff at roundhill campsite and as such take great exception to the comments about the manager and staff posted by east London kiwi motorcycle group. The comments appear to be personal attacks - to use the phrase "special needs" is deeply offensive on so many levels. The site manger has also been compared to David Brent-... More

I love camping in the nature but the campsites in New Forest should either have insurance against damages made by ponies or invest in cattle grids. We had our lovely and expensive tent completely damaged (poles broken, floor ripped) by the animals while we were walking around the area. We didn't have any food there so it wasn't that they... Amazing campsite that allows you to pitch up anywhere on there 60 acre campsite. The staff are so friendly and are nice and chatty. Great facilities including clean toilets and showers. Horses are nosy but can be deterred by a flag or a water pistol which we used a couple of times and worked every time. Out the back of... More

I was staying here with a group of friends. The intention was to stay on a Saturday night, BBQ, then attend a bike ride-in event at the Beaulieu National Car museum the next day. So a group of 9 of us had organised to stay. We were all arriving on motorbikes (and when I say bikes, I mean 40 something... More

Just back from 3 nights at this site. It has friendly, helpful staff, is kept clean and tidy and the location is great for access to walks and cycle rides in the forest. One of the joys of staying here is watching the ponies, donkeys and cattle roam freely throughout the site. One of my favourite campsites in the UK.

The showers are clean and hot, the staff are friendly and you're in a relatively central location but they don't tell you about the HORSES! On day 2 of our trip after waiting eagerly for the resident horses to come closer to our tent we were overjoyed when a couple of them wandered right up to our tent. The joy... More

It has very friendly helpful staff, lots of space and private areas, great walks from the site, very dog friendly with great clean facilitates. Perfect and i hope to go back soon. Havent written a review before but this site definitely deserves it.

After turning up at a fairly late hour without a reservation, we were more than expecting to get turned away - but as it turns out service at Roundhill was fantastic. The staff were particularly friendly - and when they realised that we were a group of teenagers (and thus likely to make at least a bit of noise), they... More

Just a short note to say that your site gets better every time we camp at roundwood,as allways it is spotless thanks to the army of litter pickers on site who show a great pride in their work.every member of staff we came across were polite and helpfull.so till next year thank you for a great and relaxing week.
