Good value for money. We had a double and twin rooms, both were clean and comfortable. Book in was painless and quick, staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, did not have evening meals because we wanted to explore restaurants round about. All in all a pleasant and relaxing two day break. more

We spent two nights at this hotel as a large family group. The children had a ball and the adults were well looked after. Food was great and access to the New Forest right outside your window what more could you want. FANTASTIC staff especially the French Maitre d' . Thouroughly recommended. more

For £200 a night the room we were given was unbelievably poor. Decor 20 to 30 years out of date. Tiny, dark and a small bed with a 14" TV on its last legs. The room reminded me of B&Bs from my childhood. Mould on the bathroom ceiling made it seem rather dirty (see photos attahced.) On the positive side... more

Overall we had a great time at this hotel. The friendly service was what made it so good. The French maitre d and the bar waitress were incredibly friendly and helpful. This hotel is a really lovely setting. We booked the Hotel on Late Rooms . com as the Hotel would not match the price, I find this really strange that a family owned Hotel is willing to pay % to a booking agency. Our room, on the top floor, commanded a lovely view of the forest. It had recently been refurbished to a high standard and was clean and comfortable. Great ambience, food excellent, staff couldn't have been more helpful, room spacious . comfortable bed, clean. Location is superb for walking, on site leisure facilities great and of course nearby Spa for extras. Dog friendly. Will bring my husband and dog next time. more
