On arrival we were greeted by the owners Ken and Sheila who were extremely welcoming They pointed us to a lovely spread of freshly baked cakes in the Dining Room, which was a really welcome treat. The freshly bakes scone cake was absolutely delicious. We stayed in the Red Lion room downstairs, which was very spacious, very homely and deliciously... More

Very nice B&B, decent enough price, friendly owners, warm shower super comfortable beds, good hearty breakfast! They were happy enough to let us come in when they were not home. There is free parking on the street opposite.

Thank you very much for your comments and observations. Parking here really isn't a problem, and as you said our entry system works very well most comments on it have been positive. Its not possible to be here every minute of the day, but we should be here a lot more from now on. Ken and Sheila. More

Our room was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. The homemade cakes were delicious, Ken & Shelia were lovely hosts & our breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay again & would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay in the village.

The owners were very welcoming. They gave us the house's code to allow us in even if they were not at home and in the morning they were very nice; average rate because from the room you could hear any noise from the next door one and it was noise if you moved and because breakfast was just ok.

Thank you for your review. We do have options for breakfast upon request. We are currently in the process of changing our system to make the process even better. As owners we have never had a problem with noise from other guests in other rooms, so we are a bit surprised with that comment, but we will look into it. More

Everything is right about The Blacksmith's House. Ken and Sheila are excellent hosts, and the rooms are clean, modern and a delight to stay in. But most of all, the number one reason for returning are Sheila's cakes and biscuits, and I would fight through a rampaging zombie army just to get more.

Alister its only fair for me to let Sheila respond to this one personally, I must admit she has taken to the AGA like a fish out of water. Im sure when she has cooked me my dinner in a minute she will respond. Hope You are all well. See you soon Ken and Sheila. More

Ken and Sheila were amazing! They picked up our last minute booking and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The room was a family room and was a good size, cosy bed and well prepared with fridge and drying rack for our wet cycling socks :-) The breakfast was perfect to get us started and keep us... More

Perfect B&B stay in Brockenhurst. Very nice, helpful and friendly owners. Clean and fresh rooms, nice beds, slept very well :) . Area "New Forest National Park" was stunning with all the free walking wild horses, also a nice little village and a rental bicycle tour

I wanted somewhere to stay for a few days so I could do some horse riding and walking in the New Forest, and the Blacksmith's House was perfect for me.
