I stayed just one night at the Blacksmith's House as I was attending a wedding at a venue in the area. The Bkacksmith's was just perfect...I was in the Mary Queen of Scots room which was very comfortable and had a lovely roll top bath, which ft very decadent. My friend was in the Red Lion room which was very... More

Simple house in the high street you could pass without noticing but you would have missed a treat. Good accommodation clean bright and fresh. For a high street location it was also pleasingly quiet. IWW had the best breakfast I have ever had in a B&B. Owner was there with home made bread and making drop scones for dinners while... More

This is a lovely house with lots of little touches to make it a perfect stay. We were looked after very well by the owner Tracey. Afternoon tea is available every day with fresh milk left in the guest fridge. The breakfast was wonderful, cereals, fresh fruits and yogurts, home made bread, fresh eggs from Tracey's hens, cheese and ham... More

We and a group of friends stayed at Blacksmiths House for a 60th birthday celebration weekend. Good accommodation, great food. Tracey (the owner) made every effort for a perfect stay and nothing was too much trouble. Very welcoming. Great venue for a whole house booking

We stayed at the Blacksmiths House for 3 nights whilst in Brockenhurst for a wedding. We had the upstairs Cat & Fiddle room which was very clean, Tidy, with en suite shower / Toilet. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable. It felt strange when we first arrived as you have a key-code to let yourself in. Personally I felt... More

Thank you for your review Yes it can be a bit disconcerting coming into a house without someone being there but it is a very welcoming house and the homemade cakes and scones are there to settle guests in, and it does seem to work. I look forward to seeing you again when you will I hope feel more at... More

we stayed for just one night here. We arrived well before check in time but the lady who was sorting out the rooms said we were fine to leave the car and go off exploring. We got back around 6pm ish, let ourselves in as per the instructions and found our way to the lovely cat and fiddle room. The... More

Thank you for your review I know some people find the idea of breakfasting with everyone else at the family table a bit off putting but as you say you can get on with your own or get involved with others at the table. Its often a good source of information for guests who want to know where to go... More

Thank you for your review I do try to look after everyone as though they are part of the family. It should be like staying with an Aunt. You know where the key is to get in and there is always something to eat Tracy More

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay here. Tracy was very welcoming and extremely helpful, especially as we asked at short notice if we could arrive early to drop off our luggage (she very kindly said we could). The room was clean and very comfortable and the afternoon tea (which alas we passed on as we had to meet friends as... More

Lovely b&B, you let your self in with a key code, finding the room was a bit hard as was provided with the name of the room but the rooms had no names. Free wifi, nice bed and a roll-top bath, complimentary cakes. Breakfast was good but at a communal table, forcing either stilted conversation or awkward silences, why to... More

Thank you for your revie Not rude at all. You are in a home not a hotel and if you want to read the paper at breakfast so you should. I like a big table because that is what I have in my house and its good to give people the opportunity to chat about where to go and what... More

Loved this b&b-a lot of history in the surrounding area, quaint village setting. There were lovely scones and cake on our arrival-which was a lovely thought. The breakfast was lovely with homemade fare. The bedroom & bathroom were comfy and the staff were real helpful. Would certainly recommend.
