Had a great week. Really friendly people and gorgeous site. Short walk into Bude and really close to lots of beaches. Compost toilets clean and no bother to use. We got enough hot water for showers from the solar water heaters even though it was overcast for most of our stay. We were encouraged to help ourselves to salad from... More

I stayed at Cerenety during the summer of 2013 and it was fantastic. We had some great weather during our stay, which just added to the great experience! It is just a short walk to the beaches and town via the canal path. The campsite itself is set in lush green fields, surrounded by hedges, rescue animals and has a... More

Owners so welcoming campsite fantastically basic just right. So fun being able to have campfires. The animals are beautiful and flipper the dog is so sweet. The surrounding area is beautiful. 100% recommend this place. Memories were made here

I went in this campsite during the end of August and the begining of september. I am a French and I travel in the Cornwall during the summer. I went in this campsite during 10 days and it was very good. In fact, normally I live in big city, and I was afraid to pass vacancy in an eco campsite.... More

Just returned from fab week in Bude. Stopped over at Cerenity camp site. Impressive Eco camping, does exactly what it should. Everything geared to the ecological and works well. Friendly, helpful volunteers on hand to give any advice or help if needed. Spacious pitches and dog friendly. We stayed here for a couple of nights at the start of the summer & were so impressed that we stole another couple of nights away and returned at the end of the summer. Cerenity is perfect for peaceful and down to earth camping. Our son thoroughly enjoyed the space and freedom and the hosts were lovely. The location is... More

We had a fantastic time at Cerenity campsite. We had planned to stay two nights, but found ourselves having such a relaxed time here (after spending a few hectic months travelling in our van around Europe) that we stayed almost a week! Compared to the comparatively expensive campgrounds we have stayed at on our travels, we were not missing much... More

Although friendly, this site when visited during September 2013 was very poor and not value for money, £8 per person per night, On the positive side open fires are allowed and timber can be purchased however for me there are more negatives and in no particular order; # Camp site sloping and over grown. # Lack of hot water, evening... We have just finished a 15 day camping walk of part of the South West Coast Path. We stayed at Cerenety for one night. It was the most expensive campsite we stayed at and the most unimpressive of all of them. The field was unmowed and sloping. Really not a field suitable for a campsite. The washroom facilities were poor,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Enjoy the Wilder Side of Camping Serene, green, eco camping set in seven acres of sprawling fields just a short stroll from the seaside. Cerenety is peaceful, old fashioned, back to nature camping, where you can spend lazy days in the grass or playing cricket with the kids. Spend the morning surfing, delight in a relaxing afternoon picnic and while away long summer evenings watching camp fire smoke spiralling idly into the Cornish sky. Do all this whilst happy in the knowledge that your holiday is having a limited effect on the environment. Solar powered showers, compost toilets and wood burning fires allow you to indulge in an off-grid holiday in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Make friends with our rescue animals, meander down the canal into town or take a 5 minute wander down our country lanes to our local secret beach. ... more   less
