We took a short notice midweek break for two nights so didnt want to travel too far. Callander being only 90min drive from our home was perfect in every way. The Old Rectory Inn is a quite traditional guest house that manages to punch above its weight, with having a "snug" bar and cosy dining area. Tues night they hold... More

It was relatively quiet when we were there but it got busy. The food was superb nice and hot and fresh, the prawns were plentiful and the lettuce nice n clean and fresh. We both opted for the burgers they have a full range of different types. The couple next to us, who we got speaking to opted for the... More

I booked with this hotel in March and had to cancel at the beginning of April as I am not travelling to this part of Scotland now. My money was taken the day I booked but they won't give me my money back!! Beware!

Had dinner here after a recommendation from a local girl. Enjoyed the food with big portions all round, only disappointment was my sons sausage & chips (wee willie winkies were not what I was expecting) ! Prices were reasonable and over all the food was nice. Staff were very friendly.interior was a bit outdated but think that actually gave it... More

We stayed 2 nights and loved it. It isn't an extravagant or luxurious B&B but it is great value for money, ideal for what we wanted. Its perfect to where it is as its only a10 mins walk to the centre of town. Parking is at the front off the main road. The views from the Inn and around are... More

An impromptu night away led to us us book a night at The Old Rectory. Arrived dinner time to be greeted by very friendly staff. We were shown to our room quickly, which was appreciated after a 2 hour journey. Starving, so food straight away was appreciated and ordered whilst enjoying some lovely wines at the bar. From the "Prawn... More
