We stayed two nights in Woodlands room at the back, the first and last night of a three day walking holiday. Comfortable room, very quiet and private, would definitely go back. Hosts very kind and welcoming. Only minor negative comment is that the free WiFi only appears to work downstairs just outside the sitting room....but it was free and we... More

We stayed at this B&B for one night on June 23rd. We were pleasantly surprised. Our bedroom was far more spacious and well appointed then the web site photos led us to expect. We had 2 rooms, one for sleeping and a nice size sitting room. The bathroom was more then adequate with a good shower with plenty of water... More

We had such a good time in Callander and at the Knowe Guest House. Very convenient to the town with all it's facilities and also to local walks, falls and river. Rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Good WiFi as well. Ashley and Ray are excellent hosts.

A lovely and welcoming guest house. A super location on the edge of the Trossachs in Callander . Very child friendly with everything we needed for our 18 month wee girl. Helpful owners with great advice on local area. And the full Scottish breakfast is amazing!

When passing through Callander it is easy not to notice the steeply sloping parts of the town to the north. The Knowe lies very close to the centre of the town but is elevated above it with superb views to the hills to the south. Our room was comfortable and well laid out, and the breakfast was one of the... More

A superb location in Callander, as it's well off main road - downside to most of the other rated residences here - and the hosts strike the balance that is attentive when necessary, and accord privacy the rest of the time. Fantastic breakfast, with superb view of hills beyond Callander. Thanks

Arriving in drizzly mist, late on a Friday afternoon, after a long journey, the mood quickly changed on meeting our jovial hosts, no strings of rules and regulations, basically-"enjoy yourselves". We were shown to our rooms by Ash, and were all absollutely delighted by what we found. all rooms are very spacious, tastefully furnished and decorated, with tea/coffee making facilities... More

Ray and Chris are great hosts, with lots of local knowledge. The breakfast choice and standard is fantastic, and the dining room friendly and informal. Our bed was very comfortable, though would have preferred plumper pillows. Location great, very quiet but just a 5 minute walk to main street shops and eateries, which are very varied with some that are... More

Stayed as part of the final leg of our honeymoon. The room was huge with a sofa, desk and teamaking station. The en-suite shower room was lovely with plenty of towels and toiletries available. The room was clean, but because the carpet is light coloured it's worth changing out of your wellies if you come back from walking before going... More
