Very poor not seen a place like this for years. Very run down .was only prepared to stay one night first reaction was just to leave. Everything worn and dated. Pay extra money and go elsewhere. If some money spent on a refurbished could be a nice place

Ideal positioned hotel, like most Scottish hotels could do with a refurb, but staff were great ,helpful at every turn and very pleasant.food good and chef could not be more helpful.rooms basic but comfy ,bar lively at weekends with entertainment and busy with locals.good stopover for a lively town and gateway to north of Scotland.great parking at rear of hotel.

We spent a weekend in the Dalgair and as little time as possible in our room. As soon as we walked in, the door closer jammed on the top of the door. It was fixed quickly enough but it said a lot about the general condition of the place. The walls are damp the decor tatty and the shower feeble.... More

A good price at the time, the room was a good size with en suite. Comfy bed. Coffee making facilities. Close to supermarkets and other shops. One good thing is that you can park your car at the rear of the hotel. Friendly staff. Free wifi.

We were here as it is a live music venue and we knew the artist on that night, but when we saw the price we felt it couldn't go wrong. The rooms could have been doing with a bit of an update but were clean and comfortable, and the bar and bistro were both modern and smart. Dinner and breakfast... More

We popped into this bar/restaurant for a light lunch. It is part of the Dalgair House hotel and was aptly called the back bar. I would have called it the dark bar as it was a bit dreary however what it lacked in atmosphere it made up with delicious home made soup. The choice on our visit our visit was... More

Stayed for 2 nights room basic but clean. Staff helpfull, food could have been better . The noise at night while attempting to sleep was appalling on both night. Brought this to the attention of staff member but did not seem to care. Not a place i would return to in the near future. Mrs Dickson

This hotel is as it claims to be - a bar with very comfortable rooms. The food is very good value and rather tasty. The staff CANNOT do any more for you, they were fantastic and never in your face. As expected there was noise from the bar to be heard in the room, but we were prepared for this.... More
