This hotel is as it claims to be - a bar with very comfortable rooms. The food is very good value and rather tasty. The staff CANNOT do any more for you, they were fantastic and never in your face. As expected there was noise from the bar to be heard in the room, but we were prepared for this.... More

Warm welcome from the manager. Room very clean, slightly out dated. Good location for local activities. Rooms cosy and warm. Liked the fact that you can control the heating. Breakfast was a bit of a let down... On the first day, my partner and I received minimum cooked breakfast. Therefore on the 2nd day my partner opted out of the... More

We were travelling from Liverpool to Skye and stopped in Callander en route; the hotel was easy to book on line and was happy to accommodate our 2 small dogs as well. When we got there we received a friendly welcome in the hotel bar which is basic but cheerful. We had our evening meal there which was excellent value... More

I stayed in this hotel in November. Was a great stay. The staff were very friendly especially Nicole, Grace and Thomas. The manager was so friendly as he made a point in coming over to see us. The food is delcious and the entrainment was very good.

Breakfast in the morning was GREAT, and this was my first-ever place there I had haggis...hope... More

We didn't stay in the hotel and neither did we eat here, so this review only reflects the bar as a place to go for a pint. As bars go - it's OK without being anything special. The service was fine but the place is rather scruffy, which you probably wouldn't notice if it was busy, but on a wet... More

Stayed at the Dalgair house hotel last month on a stopover visit. It's centrally located in the picturesque town of Callander with excellent vistas of Ben Ledi. The Room was clean and fresh if a little on the small side, but I slept very well. Breakfast was REALLY good. Local fresh Scottish produce that hit the spot. It's not a... More

Not a quiet place when I was there. The bar below the hotel attracts a bit of a rowdy group but nothing obnoxious. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. A pretty neat place to stay. It has a working class feel and charm. Patron and guest were both friendly and talkative. If your looking for a social scene than this... More
