Alarm bells started ringing when at check in we were asked to pay up front.. As soon as walked through the corridor the carpets were boggin. Looked as if the place had been flooded out.up in the room carpets were no better and the walls looked as if they hadnt seen a paint brush for about twenty years the carpark... More

My husband made a booking (April 2015) with this hotel for us attending the Jazz Festival in Callander (October 2015). No confirmation was forthcoming, so on passing the hotel while on holiday we went in to request again confirmation. They did seem to have us on record but did not offer written confirmation then, saying someone would send it via... More

We checked in to the hotel, which has a damp smell to it was a very old and grubby corridor carpet, to our ground floor room which looks out onto the Main Street with the pavement outside the bedroom window. As non of the windows in the hotel are double glazed you can hear every word of the people passing... More

I found the hotel rather dirty and bar staff not very informative, waiting staff at breakfast was a young lad who was very polite but the time it took to get our breakfast was not good. Rooms were very basic and dated, management not at all interested to hear of any complaints. The corridors were very dark and the damp... More

If I had not been in a hurry and up early next morning I would have asked to see an inferior room just for the... More

We spent one night in the Dreadnought Hotel in March 2015. First impressions is the hotel was very run down and needed some TLC. The reception staff where very welcoming and although our room was very basic and dated the bed was very comfortable. We had our evening meal in Mcnabs bar and the food was beautiful and great value... More

This room the guest was in is a front facing turret refurbished room, many of our regular guests request this room, the only reason it was available was because it was during the week. This guest booked through a third party and was issued with a confirmation sheet which clearly stated in bold black writing "The balance of GBP69.00 must... More
