This hotel was built in 1802 its got beautiful features like fireplaces etc. It could do with some cosmetic work but it was clean, comfortable, staff are lovely and the food was lovely. If your looking for a cheap weekend or a few days holiday I would recommend the Dreadnought and Callander.

We got a good deal on this hotel with Easybreak so I'm basing this on value for money for our deal. The staff were very pleasant and eager to please. The food was good and hot and the tables were set with spotless, crisply laundered cloths. The bar and coffee bar were very comfortable. Our room was in need of... More

We have just got back from a three night break with Easy Breaks in Callander. This is an old hotel with need of some refurbishment. The room was clean and sufficiently large for our stay but the double bed had one side against the wall which made getting in and out a little more difficult than usual. That said the... More

My husband and I took my mother to Callander for her 80th Birthday - the rooms were okay but desperately need a bit of TLC. The food was terrible. Meal on first night was hardly edible - we didn't bother on the second night and went over the road to the Chinese Restaurant - fabulous. The breakfasts were very poor... More

We are just back from our first & last visit to this hotel. On the first night we had to dine in a room upstairs as there was a function in restaurant. Room was very dated with cobwebs on ceiling. Hubby ordered pate which should have been served with toast. They forgot the toast & he eventually got it at... More

When we arrived at the Dreadnought, there was no one to be seen at reception. When some one did finally show up, they were friendly enough. They gave us directions to our room and I was a little worried about what we were going to find because of the bad reviews on here. I should have been. The walls and... More

We found the staff very pleasant, efficient and hard working. Our room was fitted with new furniture (had to break door seal of wardrobe to use it). Food very well prepared and good choice on menu. Staff did everything perfectly to please our group and we had a lovely time making new friends.
