Popped in for Saturday lunch and opted for their "Roast Lunch". This is exceptional value for money and perfectly cooked; choice of soup or pate for starters, followed by chicken, good service and pleasant staff, definitely a place to revisit.

We were on a reconnoitre run to Callander and stopped into MacNab's in the Dreadnaught Hotel for lunch. They offer a "Roast of the Day" deal: a starter followed by main course for atoned £6.00. The food was good and the value for money was unexpected.

We attended a recent function at The Dreadnought and it was ok! The function room was pretty old and in need of repair and the staff serving the drinks were a bit slow. Cannot comment on the rooms as we did not stay over. The Hotel looks as if it could do with a lick of paint and some modernisation.

Lunch was excellent. We had the daily roast, this was cooked to perfection and at £5.99 for 2 courses excellent value. The staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble being disabled this was a great help.We will defentantly be making a return trip.

Firstly its not a 5 star hotel it tells you. Why do you think its so cheap. If you want luxury or more mod cons book somewhere else. Webhave stayed there 5 times bed linen was clean thats the main thing. Your only sleeping there so read the reviews before you moan about it being tacky dirty etc to many... More

stayed 1/2/14 with my husband and friend. i had read the reviews and checked in with an open mind. having been in hospitality at management level for a long time nothing much surprises me with hotels, the property is in need of serious investment, for the age of the building i found it characterless and a bit bland and boring,... I book the hotel as I am going through some hospital treatment & needed a nice relaxing time away from my troubles. I was very disappointed in every aspect of the hotel, first off the door was off the bottom hinge & could be pushed open from the bottom there was also a gap around the door which with the... More
