Highland guest house is situated conveniently for those wishing to explore the Loch Lomond area and even explore Dundee and surrounds. The guest house is of some age and you cannot walk around without the floor boards creaking.Breakfast was good but not as large as some.Room of a good size and clean. Hosts were not as friendly as others .

Booked in here after seeing this venue on TV's four in a bed. Friendly but not intrusive host who likes to (bag)pipe guests down to (a good) breakfast - all good fun and novel. Comfy beds and rooms adequately furnished and clean. Priced at £75 per night for 2 people seems about right for this quality of establishment. Good parking... More

A friend and I were attending a wedding and booked a room in a different hotel, who informed us that due to overbooking had found us a twin room at the Highland Guest House. My friend who was attending the entire wedding popped into the Highland Guest House in the morning (before the check in time of 2pm) to inform... More

Booked as a base for a couple of days walking with a friend. Guest House in a quiet side street. Twin room Barra on the ground floor was ideal, and although there may be a bit of noise from comings and goings, "its not unusual" (apologies Tom, couldn't resist it) for a guest house of its type. Room and bathroom... More

Stayed for 2 nights in November after a very late booking. We were the only guest staying and initially stayed in the twin room on the ground floor, but after a problem with the plumbing moved to another twin room upstairs. Both rooms very pleasant, extremely clean and comfortable. Tom and Angela were both very welcoming and great hosts. Breakfast... More

We stayed for two nights to attend a wedding in Callander. On arrival we found our room was very clean and spacious. Unfortunately however we were in room 8 which is on the ground floor and directly opposite the dining room, and next to the kitchen and the front door. There is absolutely no soundproofing around the door and a... More

We stayed there for a couple of nights last weekend. What a quaint little B & B. The whole place, or what we saw of it, looks to have been refurbished from that last time we were here. The owners, Tom and Angela, were very welcoming and totally hospitable for the duration of our stay. I couldn't really fault the... More

Tom and Angela were excellent hosts for 3 nights in late April and early May. They accommodated our late checkin and added extra heat for our room when we requested it one evening. Tom's musical call to breakfast and playing of national anthems for foreign guests were unique and fun. The full Scottish breakfast was a treat that fueled us... More

I travel a lot for work around the UK and was asked to go Stirling last minute. Wanted a single room for the night and no breakfast as I was leaving at 4am to go to Manchester for another job. Called up Friday and Tom booked me in. Upon arrival he forgot he had me down haha wasn't an issue... More
