This must be one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in ... William and Ian have a gem that they maintain and run it to an impeccable standard. Our hosts made every effort to make us comfortable and welcomed ... and we enjoyed reading of the history of the house and the way that it has been decorated to... more

We have been visiting Arden House for several years having stayed there for work and for pleasure. It is quite simply the best B&B in the UK! William and Ian are fantastic hosts, extremely attentive to the needs of their clients, and very appreciative of the need for high standards in a competitive market. The rooms are immaculate and so... more

Although my trip to Arden House was over a year ago I will never forget my wonderful first night there. My Husband and I had previously given William an approximate arrival time. (It is his home, not a hotel, and I understood that they have a life.) However, with a tour in Edinburgh that took longer than expected, a missed... more

We had a warm welcome ,a delightful room and an excellent breakfast in this beautifully decorated Victorian villa. It is a B&B not a hotel. l and anyone who arrives too early eg 10.30am as in a previous review, will not be popular as this is in the middle of cleaning up time. Similarly it is rude to delay arrival... more

This really is a home from home - you can't do better! We stayed in Arden House for four nights during mid-July 2006. Even though we arrived a little earlier than planned (about 4:30pm) we received a very warm welcome (tea and biscuits soon appeared). It's very tastefully decorated, and very clean throughout. Their smallest room, nominally a single, has... more

We booked into the Arden House at 6.45pm to be greeted by you should have phoned to say you would be late!! That was the welcome and although there were no complaints about the accommodation or the breakfast I would not return. more

We stayed in Arden House during early October and can't wait till we return. We received a warm welcome on our arrival and over the next few days William was extremely helpful in suggesting places to go - he showed a genuine interest and took the time to get maps etc and run through some options for us. The rooms... more

We arrived early (10:30 am) just to touch base and ask when the rooms would be ready. That was a mistake. The person who 'greeted' me was not gracious. After being chastised for being early and attempting to open the front door with out first ringing the bell, I decided that we would not be staying. I was informed several... more

We tried to make a reservation and had problems with the email address so had to finally use the secure website to make the reservation. Within minutes of making the reservation we had to cancel because of the trip change. We again had problems with the email and sent two cancellations over the secure website which we know they read.... more

While you may be tempted to stay because of its association with a TV programme, I would recommend it because of the welcome of the owners, the quality of the rooms, its marvellous setting, and its location in the Trossachs. This is a place to savour and enjoy. more
