We enjoyed our stay here and had a good laugh with the locals in the bar. The filling breakfast set us up for the days cyling. The comfy large king size bed was a boost as we are both over 6ft and get upset when our feet usuallysitck out the bottom. No problem here - we slept like a dream.... more

We stayed here for a couple of night recently. The lack of storage space in the room would have made a longer stay difficult. Our room at the back of the hotel was small and quiet (I requested a quiet room after reading reviews about the traffic noise). It wouldn't have been any good for anyone tall as the ceilings... more

The staff at Crags hotel were very friendly and helpful. At the hotel pub we were also very welcome. A cozy place with friendly local guests. As hunters were we alloved to enter our rooms in the hunting gear after a day of hunting. The hotel is placed centrally in order to go hunting or trekking. more

I enjoyed my stay here. It is a great little place and the breakfast was immense. The owners made me feel really welcome and I liked the traditional feel to the place. When I was there the chef had just jumped ship so the restaurant was closed in the evening. No worries though because there were plenty of options within... more

We arrived and parked at the car park at the rear of the hotel and viewed it with some trepidation. However, on venturing in we were given the warmest of welcomes and shown to two absolutely individual and newly renovated rooms on the top floor of the hotel. (One room particularly took our fancy with its "secret" door to the... more

The hotel's central location was perfect for us on the main road through Callander and parking was easily reached around the back. The public bar seemed to have a pretty busy local trade and we felt comfortable blending in. The nice family that run the place also made us feel extremely welcome and chatted amiably both in the bar and... more

We were on a cycle tour through Scotland and were welcomed to the hotel very nicely. This was a nice hotel with a typically Scottish local bar, though ran by English people. The breakfast was good, though we were not asked the night before if we wanted the fish options, which we would have liked. Having said that the breakfast... more

We had looked foward to our stay in the Crags Hotel after having booked many months in advance. We chose a room which was described as clean and cosy. It was neither! We wouldn't have minded the dated decor, as warned on the website, or a small room, but what we weren't warned about was the musty smell, the grime... more
