Very friendly large but cosy public house. The rooms we stayed in were good size, tastefully furnished, the beds were very comfortable, and despite being a pub, the rooms were very quiet. At breakfast one was spoilt for choice, from fruits, cheeses, breads and cereals to the usual cooked items - the locally smoked salmon was absolutely delicious! The staff... More

Visited Sunday with 2 friends. Table really nice. Clean with a lovely view Service was good too. Bit sparse on the gravy but asked for some more and it wasn't a problem. Plenty of veg and it was lovely and hot and fresh. Roast potatoes tasted a bit odd. Overall though really good and would definitely go back.

Absolutely lovely home cooked food, treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. Easy to find with plenty of free parking. The atmosphere inside was calm and warm - the table was presented beautifully with a real candle and the service was excellent! The choice was fantastic with lots of specials boards to choose from as well as an extensive... More

Extremely welcoming staff. Stayed in executive room which had a hallway for the dog to sleep in. Great size room and very comfortable bed. Meals; breakfast and dinner, were lovely. highly recommended.

Really lovely staff at the pub - we were part of a group which were playing at a wedding of a friends round the corner at Sopely Mill and we asked if it was possible to practice in the pub area, the lady was very accommodating and helpful and let us practice there. Rooms are very nice, and in a... More

We stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend in March with our 4 year old and 2 dogs. It wasn't obvious when we booked but the rooms are in a separate building along side the pub. Which was a lot better as enabled us to have a ground floor room and a lot quieter than above a pub. Lovely... More

We stayed here for one night after a family wedding celebration locally. We booked in, although it wasn't very clear as to where the reception was as there are several doors for entry. The room was in a separate building and was small but well equipped with all you would normally need. Bed was comfortable and the room was warm... More
