Handed a door key and complete freedom to come and go. Room was small but well appointed with two armchairs instead of the usual one. Toilet separate from the shower, also unusual. Very comfortable. Unlimited supply of tea and coffee available on the landing - nice touch. Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked after ordering the night before. Car park at... More

We chose the White House at random to crash after a friend's wedding. Have to admit I wasn't expecting much for the bargain price but what a revelation! Conveniently sited, friendly owner, B&B lovely and quiet and clean. Our room (Reagan) was small-ish but spotless, lovely crisp sheets, plenty of fluffy towels, lots of tea and coffee with fresh milk,... More

Had a phone call by bed and breakfast at 6pm informing us they would be out when we come to check in and so they said they would leave the key to the front door and room outside under the plant pot. We arrived around 10pm, understanding no one would be there. Car park was as the back, which was... More

We only stayed one night, but wish it could have been longer. The rooms are up one or two flights of stairs. Because of the name each room is named after an ex President of the USA. We had the Kennedy room which was clean and comfortable and looked over the back of the hotel. It was not far to... More

Business traveller, usually staying at the Premier Inn down the road which wanted over £100 for B&B! Tried the White House as close and very surprised as don't usually stay at a B&B due to quality. The White House has obviously had all it's rooms updated very recently. Nice quiet location, parking at the rear, narrow access but I have... More

I chose this b&b because it was near to Bournemouth were we were seeing and show and I didn't want to drive home after. Very helpful on the phone when booking and when we arrived, which was a rush because we were rushing to our show! Room nicely decorated and presented. Breakfast was good. The narrow drive down the side... More

Had a lovely stay here, Ann & Bob were such good host's, the room was so cosy and warm and the shower was awesome, the breakfast was so good such a lot of choice, will definitely be back. The position of The White House is perfect for a minutes stroll into the village, which has an array of shops with... More

We only stayed the one night while visiting a relative. We found the Lincoln room very nice, the bed was very comfortable and the decor and furnishing inviting. The toilet is in a separate room to the shower room which is good, and the power shower is very efficient. We were glad we didn't have the fresh fruits, cereal or... More
