This is a really friendly hotel, great service, great "Pub" food, unfortunately we only stayed one night as it was a short nigh"s stop off for Bournemouth Airport . It's what it is, a well converted railway station complete with railway line and carriage. Down side, Rambling access to bedrooms on the first floor and no lift (hence only 4... More

We only stayed at this charming, former railway, hotel for one night before catching a morning plane from Bournemouth airport. It is only five minutes away by car! The hotel is reasonably priced and our bedroom was absolutely fine and had a fully fitted bathroim suite. The room was a bit too warm, but not uncomfortably so. We had an... More

Spot on for a night or two away as a weekend break. Great bar and restaurant. Basic rooms but clean and tidy. Really friendly and helpful service. Interesting history to the place and the train carriage which is now a murder-mystery events room is top notch. I'd definitely return.

A superb little hotel in a great location. The rooms are small but very well appointed and comfortable. Evening meal was very good, beer was great. The breakfast was superb, served nice and early and with a smile. A great place

Chose avon causeway due to it being about a mile from Bournemouth airport. Very comfy room for us but quite noisy if you want the windows open. We decided to have dinner there was we we had to be up and out early the next day and want yo get a good night sleep. Food was good though quite expensive.... More

Stayed here for one night prior to a sporting event. Good value for money. Clean room, on the small side, the ensuite was tiny and on the inside so no natural light. The staff were polite and helpful. We ate in the restaurant in the evening the food was ok. Had breakfast which was excellent. Would recommend the smoked salmon... More

Anyone flying from Bournemouth Airport with an early start should strongly consider a stopover at this fuss-free hotel which manages to combine a 'country inn' ambience' with a reasonable, varied menu. Its rooms are not compromised by having 'a pub downstairs' because apart from the Reception Desk, the hotel is completely separate with rooms of a high standard with excellent... More

We booked via Booking .com and requested a room nearest the door as we had 4 tiers of a wedding cake + cupcakes etc for a wedding next day...room allocated furthest from the door....upstairs down lots of corridors.....arrived at 8.30pm after 5 hours driving to be told food just stopped!! However staff extended food hours to get us food, and... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as we had a family wedding in a nearby venue. Room was clinically clean and very comfortable. There was an ample selection of tea/coffee and biscuits in room as well as shower/shampoo/shower caps in en-suite. A mirror above the dressing table would have been useful as there was 1 mirror in the toilet which invariably... More
