Many thanks to the Christchurch Harbour for a fantastic evening last night - the new "Deck" is pure perfection - the sun was shining - the staff were friendly, the ambience was just so and the food and beverages were excellent. If you want to impress your friends and you want them to sample Dorset at its most glorious you... More

Waiters ignored us. Bar staff preferred to spend more time chatting than serving customers. Reception staff unhelpful and ignorant Overall a dreadful experience. I even spoke to the management and they promised to come back to me with an apology. Did not hear anything. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We went for a celebration lunch here today. There were 45 of us. From the start the hotel has been helpful in the planning and structure of the day. We arrived and the manager talked us through the timings etc. Pimms on the terrace in the sunshine and then in for a delicious lunch. We had pre-ordered our food selections... More

Just a beautiful setting! The Upper Deck restaurant is perfect for couples, friends or business dinning. My third trip here, I find the staff who are ready to go that extra mile. Each time I have taken guests here they have loved it. The hotel itself is managed in an excellent manor.

I stayed here recently after booking an accessible twin room. There was a problem with the booking which was resolved by the very helpful reception staff. It slightly spoiled our relaxation as we had to move rooms so couldn't unpack properly at first. Our room was large and comfortable but in need of redecoration. We ate in the hotel and... More

We stayed at the Harbour Inn for our friends' wedding (both wedding and reception were held in the hotel). The hotel is beautifully decorated and situated in a wonderful location. We booked one of the top suites and were really pleased with the decoration and layout but I understand from other guests that all the rooms are very nice. The... More

Me and my girlfriend decided to book a last minute short break on the South Coast. Overall the hotel was lovely, we stayed two nights. I will start with a couple of critical points regarding our stay. We stayed in the inward facing room. The room itself was comfortable, fairly small but was nicely furnished. My main criticism of the... More

We stayed for one night (saturday) in April. We were blessed with warm lovely weather which was a relief as otherwise the review might been more negative! Good points: Lovely sun loungers overlooking sea which you can relax on on a nice warm day. Yummy breakfast with good service. Got a complimentary upgrade which was a nice surprise. Lovely view... With such great reviews and high expectations i was left somewhat deflated. During the booking process and even upon arrival the Hotel Reception staff were excellent. Very professional, friendly and polite. The views to the rear of the hotel were stunning. However the hotel left itself down with below average and i'd even go as far as saying poor service... More

Overall a high quality hotel, but (based one visit) there are one or two issues. Firstly the positive ..attentiveness and politeness of the staff is first class, nothing too much trouble. Had a 'harbour glimpse' room (in fact you had a good view over the harbour, the 'glimpse' bit alluded to a flat roof immediately outside the bedroom window -... More
