Warm welcome on arrival. Nothing was a bother. Stayed in the family room. Plenty of space even with cot which was supplied. Very friendly. Lovely gardens We felt at home at this hotel. Yes maybe a little dated on decor but bed was comfy and the house had character

Run down from the outside and old fashioned inside but reviews sounded good so thought we would try Sunday lunch. We received a friendly welcome but host needs to drop the word 'folkes' which he repeats each time he comes to table! There was no atmosphere and sitting in the lounge/bar area was like waiting in a Dr's surgery. A... More

My parents, with a group of friends enjoyed a lovely pre-Christmas evening get together at the Lambsquay House Hotel. The menu was varied and suited everyone's tastes. Mike and Lesley as hosts, couldn't have done more to ensure everyone was totally satisfied.

Mike and Lesley were the PERFECT hosts, they could not have done anymore to make the stay of myself and my family any more enjoyable. I got the feeling that there was nothing that they would not do to makes one's stay enjoyable. The Hotel itself is a beautiful character building in a serene setting with a spacious car park... Mike and Lesley were extremely welcoming upon our arrival, and we were promptly shown to our room. Both the room and en-suite were spotlessly clean and you can tell that they work hard to keep this very old building in tip top shape. The Lamsquay House Hotal is not a luxury boutique getaway, but rather a much loved hotel with... More

The Lambsquay House hotel is the only place I'd stay, if visiting Gloucester. The welcome, the food, and the rooms are all first class plus it's perfectly Situated in walking distance between Clear Well Caves, Puzzle Wood, & Perry Grove. A+

We arrived late Saturday afternoon and was greeted with warm friendly service. Set in a stunning quiet location, the hotel itself is beautiful and spotless. The hosts Mike and Lesley go out of their way to meet your needs and make you feel totally welcome. The family room was large, and decorated in keeping with the age of the house.... More

In brief (full review below) a clean, quiet hotel, centrally placed for exploring the Forest of Dean. In personal experience, the best place for those with dietary restrictions, (vegan, coeliac etc.). ----------------------------- Having just come back from a long weekend staying at The Lambsquay Country House Hotel I can honestly say that it exceeded our expectations.
