The good bits: 1. The site is wonderfully landscaped with beautiful trees (including a fabulous Monkey Puzzle and beautiful copper beech), bamboo, willow tunnels and plants. There are multiple swings and a zip wire for the kids, which our children loved. 2. The dome concept is great - very spacious, wacky and they look fabulous at night lit from inside.... More

Hi Rich. Thanks for your comments. Really glad you enjoyed the bits you enjoyed, but obviously less pleased about the bits you didn't. So here's a few thoughts. First off, VALUE FOR MONEY. Always an issue here as we are one of the more expensive (but by no means the most expensive) glamping sites in the country. The dome you... More

Another trip to the Dome Garden and once again we all loved it. The weather wasnt too bad but with a real nip in the air - we had to cosy up to the woodburner in the evening to stay warm. Kids loved running round all day in their wellies and we went on a magical walk through the forest... More

Having done a lot of camping over the years and having decided to stay in the UK for a holiday this year we decided we would try glamping! The Dome garden website is attractive and fun and promises a lot, unfortunately it did not deliver. Once we finally managed to find the site we had a good welcome and shown... More

Deb M-W Brilliant!! Set at the back of the site the three Hobbity Domes are in a quiet area. The looks on my sons faces (10 & 17 years old), when Jonny showed us was priceless! Both big fans of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit this made a great alternative to our usual tent break and warmer too... More

We came for a long weekend in august, staying in one of the relatively new hobbity holes. We had a two year old and a seven year old and they LOVED it. All the swings and the zip wire kept them entertained for hours on end. (All right, less so the two year old, but he liked watching and swinging... More

We weren't quite sure what to expect, glamping.......we've been camping plenty of times.....but this is a new twist. We were a family of four, two children both boys aged 7 and 13. They had a ball......rope swings, forest walks etc. you need to be confident with lighting fires.....it's required for cooking (which we didn't do) heating your water....2h Fire per... More

We see ourselves as regulars having visited the Dome Garden many times. However, this is the first time we have stayed in the Hobbit Dome and we found it very unique and cosy for a romantic experience. Remarkably toasty with the small wood burner and being awoken by natural light through the port holes was lovely. Every time we visit... More

My two young teen boys and I arrived late on bank holiday Friday night. We then had two more fabulous nights at the Dome Garden, staying in a Hobbity Dome. We cycled and walked, had two dinners provided by the lovely blokes and their families at the Lodge. Cooked our own breakfasts on the wood-fired camp stove. Loved it! And... More

Our second visit, and it definitely lived up to our memories. The site is looking beautiful: amazing plants and flowers, willow dens and tunnels, free ranging chickens, rope swings and zip wires, not to mention the cool geodesic domes - all nestled in the forest. As before the kids made friends within minutes and had such a good time out... More
