Nice site plenty of space, some hard standing have a dip so little difficult to un hitch and hitch tourer. Brilliant access to forest and info at shop to help you, onsite shop sells necessities. Quiet site off peak, very busy on peak this does come with noise. Facilities are ok, warm showers, clean loos, however a little dated and... More

I know the Forest well as lived there for 5 years and family still live there. went for a weekend break with friends. Nice site location, staff v helpful, toilets and showers plentiful and clean. Pitches are a bit random as not clearly marked and most sites I've been too are marked better. Wonderful access to walks, wildlife, den building... More

We stayed with a few families in caravans and tents with electric hook up. We found a level (ish) area to park the caravan and near the toilet/shower block which was cleaned every day and always clean. The showers were free and hot. We could walk straight into the forest through a little wooden gate and walked down the hill... More

Great camp site everyone was very friendly and helpful when asked about the walks around Coleford and the river. Great bike riding route, however if your going with the kids, the hills are to steep for them energy levels burn out quickly.... I found the hock up to be quite week I.e. I put my phone on charge and by... More

We stayed here for 4 nights on hard standing touring pitch mid August. Pitches were large enough for caravan awning and outdoor area (if you put car in front of the van/awning. Amazing views and easy location with access to the forest by bike or walking. Easy check in with keypad entry and exit. Always managed to get a shower... More

My family (myself, husband, 2 children 8 & 9 and 2 dogs) camped at Bracelands from Monday 10th to Saturday 15th. The site was lovely, we pitched on the electric site, which was pretty flat, however there were some areas that were sloping. The kids really enjoyed the freedom of being on the campsite, and as parents, we felt that... More

We stayed for 6 nights 2 adults and 2 boys under 7.Arrived on a Tue afternoon,check-in very easy and pleasant.I would advise not arriving late on a Saturday as it seemed to be very busy then but most camp sites are if they are any good. The Campsite has an electric gate system in/out which made it feel secure and... More

Stayed here for 4 nights middle of August. Had premium grass pitch, plenty of room for our very large tent. Quite a large area is sloping so when it's busy could be difficult to find flat spot. 3 shower blocks of varying standard, block on way out of site the most up to date but all adequate. Reception very helpful... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Great location right next to a lovely forest walk which leads you to Symonds Yat eventually! Only downside was that it was VERY overcrowded. No way people could stick to the 6m distance rule. Reception very useful as they sell ice creams and tea/coffee during the day. Would definitely return
