Visited here Sunday - Monday as testing our new motorhome, took 3 small dogs. Plenty of room on the site, staff friendly & helpful, great woodland walks down to the river ( keep going and you'll find pubs! 👍🏽🎉 ) very pleasant, clean although lots of discarded dog poop bags on the river walk, they could do with a couple... Stayed two nights midweek. Had read some reviews that were very scathing and didn't know what to expect. Now I do know and I can tell you , scenery breathtaking, walks envigorating, dog friendly site, toilet and showers adequate. Most of all...the warden, Tony I believe was his name was friendly and informative....so....go along and enjoy. We are hoping to... More

Was busy bank holiday but due to the amount of pitches and space between it wasnt over crowded . Wardens extremely friendly and helpful . Toilet blocks could do with upgrading but always well stocked .

Great site for our campervan. Quite a large open site surrounded by forest, yet nice and quiet, enough room even when busy I bet. Our grass pitch with electric hook up had a great view, or you can go nearer the trees around the edge. Most of the site slopes a bit if you are on grass. Super friendly staff... More

We spent 2 nights at Bracelands in our motorhome. The hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up were flat and level with just about enough space between each one to feel comfortable. The site is surrounded by forest but could do with a few more trees and shrubs in the centre. Staff were friendly and helpful and the main toilet block was... More

We stayed 3 nights over Easter, having booked about 2 weeks previously. We were in a VW Transporter and on the grass with no hook up. Unless you book hard standing most of the site is on a slope, with some areas steeper than others. It's a huge site though and grass pitches aren't marked out so you can park... More

This was our second caravan trip and we really enjoyed ourselves and so did the dogs. The site had very friendly staff and they helped all they could. The shower blocks were adequate and the block closest to the caravan hard standing was cleaner than block 2 that had more tents around it. For walking and adventure this is a... More

We stayed for 2 nights mid week in a hired VW California and found the site to be very good. We had phoned ahead to check that there were hard standings available as we were not sure how good the ground would be and we were told there were free hard standing pitches. When we arrived we were told there... More

Brilliant views. Fine site, facilities clean and warm. Plenty of space and choice of pitch. Staff could not have been more helpful. Lovely walking area, good pub food within half hours walk, 5 mins drive. Would highly recommend and will visit again soon.

Had read some surprisingly poor reviews having stayed previously, so did a quick recce before booking. Impressed with the improvements underway although had some reservations about increase in motor home visitors due to nearby Christchurch site closure. Worries were unfounded, plenty of room for all. Increase number of premium pitches made choice for our pitch easier. Staff great (as always)... More
