Great site for our campervan. Quite a large open site surrounded by forest, yet nice and quiet, enough room even when busy I bet. Our grass pitch with electric hook up had a great view, or you can go nearer the trees around the edge. Most of the site slopes a bit if you are on grass. Super friendly staff... More

We spent 2 nights at Bracelands in our motorhome. The hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up were flat and level with just about enough space between each one to feel comfortable. The site is surrounded by forest but could do with a few more trees and shrubs in the centre. Staff were friendly and helpful and the main toilet block was... More

We stayed 3 nights over Easter, having booked about 2 weeks previously. We were in a VW Transporter and on the grass with no hook up. Unless you book hard standing most of the site is on a slope, with some areas steeper than others. It's a huge site though and grass pitches aren't marked out so you can park... More

This was our second caravan trip and we really enjoyed ourselves and so did the dogs. The site had very friendly staff and they helped all they could. The shower blocks were adequate and the block closest to the caravan hard standing was cleaner than block 2 that had more tents around it. For walking and adventure this is a... More

We stayed for 2 nights mid week in a hired VW California and found the site to be very good. We had phoned ahead to check that there were hard standings available as we were not sure how good the ground would be and we were told there were free hard standing pitches. When we arrived we were told there... More

Brilliant views. Fine site, facilities clean and warm. Plenty of space and choice of pitch. Staff could not have been more helpful. Lovely walking area, good pub food within half hours walk, 5 mins drive. Would highly recommend and will visit again soon.

Had read some surprisingly poor reviews having stayed previously, so did a quick recce before booking. Impressed with the improvements underway although had some reservations about increase in motor home visitors due to nearby Christchurch site closure. Worries were unfounded, plenty of room for all. Increase number of premium pitches made choice for our pitch easier. Staff great (as always)... More

We stayed here with our caravan and 3 young children for the last week of August. Although the site was busy it was quiet and the pitches were large enough so that we weren't on top of our neighbours. The showers and toilets at the top of the site near the entrance were definitely better than the ones in the... More

We have never stayed here before however have enjoyed visiting the Forest of Dean before. We arrived with our caravan, pitched up ace explored what was near. We found the site itself to be very clean and tidy, staff were friendly and the family facilities spotlessly clean. Some beautiful walks and places near by to visit. Abergavenny is a lovely... More

A group of us visited Bracelands over the long August bank holiday weekend staying from Thursday to Monday morning. Upon arrival we checked in and were greeted by a friendly site assistant named Chris, he welcomed us and advised we pitch on the far side of the camp to get some great views. We set off for the far side... More
