Three of us just returned from a three day break. The overall experience was positive, and we will return. We all had single rooms on the ground floor, and the rooms were fine for our purpose. They were clean and well equipped and comfortable. My one gripe was that there wasnt a shaver socket , and I hadnt packed an... More

My wife and I were part of a group of golfers staying at the hotel and playing the golf course. The check in process was good and first impressions of the room was good. It was clean, quite spacious and appeared to have a large bed. The bathroom was small with a small shower. The bed transpired to be a... More

My wife (who is in a wheelchair) and I stayed at the Bells for 2 months due to circumstances beyond our control. We got to know the staff on a really good basis and found everyone to be really helpful and understanding. Due to previously booked rooms we were moved around on one or two occasions but were always accommodated... More

We had an invite here for the awards; as there was over 200 people attending, we were wondering how the bar and waiting staff were going to manage (compared to the last venue they didn't finish the food service till 11:30)! So we were very impressed how timely the service was, and even more so, the quality of the food... More

My husband and I came here for Sunday lunch as we were staying at the Forest Holiday Retreat. It was recommended by a member off staff. I can honestly say I have never had such a tasteless meal in my life. It was like eating cardboard. The vegetables were dry and the gravy, well it had no taste. Although we... More

Stayed here last week as a family of four for four nights in a family room having booked through a late booking website a few days before. We only live an hour away and were looking for a reasonable base from which to explore and were not disappointed. Firstly, the price during half term was only £220 total, including cooked... More

We stayed at the hotel over the Christmas period for two nights. My husband and me and our two young children had a 'family room' a double and two singles, our youngest was 18 months. On arriving at the hotel we were greeted by one member of staff who although polite, didn't explain where our room was situated and didn't... More

Bell hotel has 3 holiday cottages at the old farm in the middle of the golf course. This is our 2nd visit to Edenwall house with golf clubs and two dogs. It is warm, comfortable, peaceful with plenty of parking. There is also a cottage for 2 adjoining and another for 6 next door. The farm buildings are a private... More

This is a lovely hotel with good facilities for disabled people. We were lucky enough to have great weather which showed off the beautiful surroundings of the golf course and bowling green. The disabled room was lovely and big with a walk in shower and handles around the toilet and a seat in the shower. The bed was huge and... More
