We, (Me and "Izzy" the Smooth Fox Terrier) were given a comfortable double in the upper floor. Greeted at the door by the Owner despite being an hour over my ETA. That was good. Once settled in I was able to pre-order my breakfast ready for the morning. I really good nights sleep as the Hotel is situated out in... More

Booked at short notice. Beautiful countryside location but close to the town. A lovely old, quirky house. Excellent hosts and excellent breakfast - fresh eggs, homegrown fruit and local produce. Hosts go out of their way to help.

Difficult to know how to rate this property. The hosts were great, really helpful and knowledgable about the local area but it wasn't the best experience we've had. We started by grounding the car on the drive. The house is not that easy to find and it took a while before someone came to let us in.the room was OK... More

I stayed here for a night on business. Had a friendly welcome from the owners who were very accommodating and lovely to talk to. They had their family over at the time who were also very friendly! The room was a good size and was warm. There was a lovely selection of fruit, cereals and cooked breakfast in the morning.... More

This was our second stay at the Middleton Grange and hopefully not our last. Lovely gardens surround this old house which is full of character. The owners George and Salli are great hosts and provide a really nice breakfast. Dogs are very welcome. Oh and the beds are really comfortable!

We needed somewhere to stay with our dog on route to family gathering. The property was set in beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside. Ample parking and very friendly, helpful hosts. Room was lovely and warm, bed really comfy and everything you needed and gorgeous view of garden, lake, snowdrops and horses through the windows. In the morning we had a... More

I arrived late after not following Salli's instructions prior to my visit, however when I phoned they guided me to there wonderful house set off a country lane in its own grounds with lovely surroundings and they came out to greet me and showed me where to park very helpful. Before taking me to my room I was shown the... More

Stayed on 27th Dec for one night. This is a dog friendly hotel and so we took our 4 month old boxer puppy to stay the night with us. The owners/managers Salli and George were fantastic - really welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. George kindly came to our car when we arrived to help us with our bags... More

'Mad' Salli and George are a wonderful couple with a divine B&B in a glorious area. You must go there to fully experience their hospitality. I broke my ankle 2 days before our holiday, phoned Salli and she arranged to put us up in a private flat. Sadly, it was unmanageable for me so we left after one night. Salli... More
