4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I visited the bar area shortly after luncheon and found the staff in a meeting. Unwilling to assist me. The tables were cluttered with used glasses and crockery. I was ignored by the barman until the Manager, who was conducting an interview, saw me and was extremely apologetic. His interviewee cleared and wiped my table. I hope she was employed.... More

A nice enough Hotel albeit room was a little dated and rough around the edges. Most of staff pleasant enough although others needs to understand that keeping customers waiting whilst talking to each other is not good service. This happened at both reception and the bar. The exception was the new restaurant manager and the Bar man who were excellent.... More

Dear Fran, We are extremely sorry for the miscommunication around your wedding preparations, which meant that the room wasn’t free to dress on the night before. Part of this was due to unexpected staff illness, but we know it caused a lot of stress for you for which we can only apologise. We’re pleased that Andrew, Lottie, Sarah and the... More

Nice hotel in pretty quiet location. Parking was ok when I got there but later on it did seem pretty full. I had a very nice room. Not massive but big enough 4 one. No bath but really nice shower / wet room. A really big bonus was the amount of sockets by the bed. It's a pet hate of... More

Thankyou for taking the time to leave your review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Thankyou for the feedback regarding the breakfast. The fruit offering does change throughout the year, and throughout the summer months we have a fresh fruit salad. We will let our chefs know your comments regarding the steak and Eggs Benedict. We hope we... More

Really lovely room, big and comfortable and well priced. I had a herratage room one of their better ones which was really very well decorated and clean. I even had a bath. Something I only do if the bathroom looks very clean. I would Stay again

stayed in a heritage room advertised as king sized beds, were in fact just two singles pushed together resulting in an uncomfortable nights sleep...second night we moved to a double room (due to fully booked heritage room for second night, which we were made aware of on boking but not a problem)....again the double was two singles pushed together? so... We're very sorry you were disappointed with your stay. The room you stayed in was actually a superking zip and link bed. These are very common in the majority of hotels, and consist of 2 single beds which are zipped together, allowing the flexibility for a room to either have 2 twin beds or a superking bed. All the beds... More

We called in and had an excellent three course lunch with drinks for just a shade over £30 for the two of us which was superb value, given the quality of each course both in terms of taste and presentation. The service was a little leisurely given that the restaurant was almost empty, although there was a large corporate function... More

We recently stayed for three nights as part of an extended business event so we experienced most aspects of the hotels services and facilities. The staff were delightful, friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. We stayed in a heritage room with a lovely comfy bed and excellent en-suite shower room. We would certainly recommend the hotel for both... More

A lovely warm welcome as always and due to the Cheltenham festival I suspect this time had to book a heritage room as the less expensive rooms all booked. Heritage rooms not particular spacious however they do enjoy a more deluxe look and feel to fixtures and fittings. From a practicality point of view the large full-length mirror is virtually... We're glad that you enjoyed your time with us again. Thanks for taking the time to leave your comments on the bedroom, which is really helpful feedback. Our superior heritage bedrooms are all in the original Georgian part of the building and are therefore a variety of shapes and sizes, but with many original features, and have been sympathetically redecorated....
