Stayed here for one night only. The only issue I had with this Hotel is the parking. There is about four parking spaces available only for what I believe is a 22 room establishment, does not take too much to work out the maths that the parking is inadequate. States parking is free in the town, this is true but... More

There are only 2 small problems at the Romany Rye. 1 a small amount of road noise and a bit of noise at closing, it's on a small road and it's a pub. Tip always carry earplugs the wax ones are best problem sorted! 2 there are only 4/5 parking places on site. There is a large free car park... More

Stopped off here on route to visiting relatives. We were only looking for a somewhere to sleep, and tend to use Travelodge for such stops. (Lately Travelodge have promoted themselves out of the reasonable price league, especially at weekends!- but let's get back to the point). Wetherspoons, at £48 for a Friday evening for a double en-suite room seemed reasonable.... More

A few of us stayed in the hotel. Good value. Not sure why the water not suitable for drinking in the bathroom that was a pain to be honest. But on positive note the family used the restaurant for brekky for around 20 of us. Good portions and served in a reasonably timely manner given our numbers. Food itself was... More

This hotel was really excellent value for the money we paid (just over £60/night). The hotel was centrally located and the room was about twice the size of any other I've stayed in in the UK for the price. Besides where the beds are (we had a twin room), there was an entire additional area with a sofa, desk and... More

Three 'seniors' eat at this establishment quite often, and it is not an establishment that you can expect 'fine dining' from. What you can expect is superb value for money and very adequate food, served quickly from an extensive menu by very pleasant staff. This Company really has got it right for those who wish to meet up with friends... More

We were given a very warm welcome and the room was pleasant, if a little small. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was a very hot period and aircon would have been welcome. However, I recall this hotel as the Phoenix and my guess is that whilst refurbishment was well carried out, the costs of retrospective installation of aircon... More

Really surprised at the nice sized room, well decorated and clean. Had everything you would need - apart from air conditioning. We were really uncomfortable due to the hot weather, understandably the windows only opened so much and the fan supplied just moved hot air around. Even on checkout we weren't asked if we had a nice stay, I guess... More

We stopped at this hotel for the second time, this weekend. Beautiful rooms, amazing priced meals. Really friendly staff. Only problems are very little parking and a lack of a lift in the hotel part. But this is a great place to have as a base for a holiday

Stayed here for 1night, very spacious room, staff very helpful, and although there is not a lift a member of staff carried our cases upstairs for us. Hotel near shops and a beautiful thatched cottage. Just one problem which is not the staffs fault, young mums coming in for coffee and a chat with their friends, babies and young children... More
