The rooms were good clean condition, with all the usual things, tea and coffee, TV etc The pillows were as flat as could be, We were unfortunate to have the room on the stairs where other guests wanted to talk outside our room at1am in the morning, and with entrance door banging of other guests going to their rooms as the bar... i reluctantly came here with my sister and husband , who clearly have lower standards than myself , but i agreed, Anyway it's steak night, the place is busy , so grab a table and clean I ourselves,I posed the question how can they do a steak meal with a glass of wine for £6.85 thereabouts. It soon became obvious,... More

For a last minute booking this hotel was fine. It was clean, well priced and centrally located. Parking was an issue as there was only on street parking and the spaces were occupied by the pub customers. I waiting 45 minutes for my food order which was a little longer than I would expect, especially as I had the Mexican... More

This is a well located hotel with friendly staff and a Wetherspoons attached of course. On Sunday you even get an early wake-up call from the nearby Church bells. The rooms are snug to say the least especially the double bed. If you or the person sharing the bed is on the large side it may prove to a very... More

This hotel-pub is the centre of this small town and on-site parking is very limited, but the efficient receptionist advised us where to park nearby for free. Check-in very good, room 11 on 1st floor was ready with a welcome letter, adequate size and well decorated, double bed, tea and coffee provided, en-suite with shower over the bath, towels provided,... We stayed here for a long weekend while seeing family - it was also our first stay at a Weatherspoon Hotel - we had a great 2 night stay (Friday and Saturday). We had rooms at the front of the Hotel and we could hear people outside the pub late at night, however this did not bother us and we... More

Pleasant hotel, and not bad value for money, would ask for room at front next time as the view, besides being non existent and of the flat roof, would have been improved by hotel staff actually cleaning the roof and treating it as part of the hotel. However the standard within the hotel were good and value for money, and... More

A reasonable size room but no air conditioning. A fan was provided but didn't really help. The room and bathroom were clean. Staff were polite and helpfully. Hotel reception was unattended and I had to wait over 15 minutes before a member of staff appeared (even though I went to the bar to ask for service). Also AMEX not accepted.
