We contacted Hydeaway House (a year in advance) as we were to be attending my wife's sisters wedding in the area. After I was promised by the owner on the phone and via email that our reservation was 100% confirmed we were told a few days later (after much chasing as the B&B don't answer email) that they could "no... This review is probably the most edited version of events that I have ever read! Firstly this couple have never stayed with us(they said they stayed this month) so how can they review us? My slow response to their e-mail as I explained to them was because I've just had surgery on my shoulder and I had 41 e-mails to... More

An excellent B&B combining the best of town and country. A short 10 min walk into the town Centre in Egham which has a good range of cafes and restaurants. The location in a quiet cul-de-sac towards the edge of town is very pleasant. I was able to enjoy watching a woodpecker in the trees outside my window while other... More

I stayed at hideaway house for 2 nights whilst attending a course in Egham. The house was very conveniently situated - being a short walk to the Jurgens Centre every day. I had a lovely double room with an en suite shower with the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Brenda and Ben were very friendly hosts and the cooked... More

We had a very brief over night stay at Hydeaway House as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Great Fosters Hotel. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room which they had kindly set up as a family room for my husband and I and our two small children. The room was comfortably furnished and looked out... More

This is a very nice B&B. I had a very big room with lots of oriental furniture, a desk to work and a really comfortable big bed. Excellent location, in a dead end road, very quiet indeed. Still, a short walk to Egham high street. Great breakfast, with sausages, bacon, egg from their own chickens and organic vegetables, just as... More

Ben and Brenda have looked after me numerous times during the three years my daughter was a Royal Holloway. The rooms are in their own house and are comfortably furnished, and there is a good choice of food for breakfast. The location is nice and quiet and very convenient for the University. I would highly recommend this B&B for other... More

A colleague and I stayed with Brenda and Ben in April 2013. We had a little difficulty finding it at night but were made to feel very welcome when we did arrive. Its location was why we choose it as a client was nearby and we had planned to take a taxi the following morning but much to our surprise... More

Brenda and Ben were excellent hosts and made us feel at home. They were very helpful in providing directions and giving advice regarding dining, shopping and transportation around Egham. We loved the delicious breakfast each morning and the warm hospitality. It was so convenient for us to stay there, as we were visiting our daughter attending Royal Holloway as an... More

My room was very comfortable, although the wash basin in the bathroom was rather small and the plug was of no use, as water went down the bowl quicker than I could fill it! Breakfast was very satisfying although i'm not too keen on having to make my own toast, which necessitates getting up every so often and when the... More

I spend 2-3 nights a week away at work during the week and recently stayed at Hydaway House. The room was lovely and comfortable and the shower was excellent. Brenda makes you feel at home. I would recommend staying here to anyone
