I was booked into the hotel by a colleague due to work in the area. I knew Fowey, but hadn't ever spotted this hotel. It's a hidden gem! I only ate in the restaurant 1 evening and 1 breakfast, despite staying 2 nights. Room 5 was just lovely, the rooms are not cheap, but given the included exemplary breakfast selection,... More

We stayed in one of the de Luxe rooms overlooking the water. To wake up with the sun streaming over the hills opposite and sparkling on the water, with the waves lapping at the foreshore and walls below us, the oystercatchers and seagulls chattering and crying and the fishing boats going out to sea to catch our dinner was simply... Stayed for 3 nights and didn't want to leave, hotel is lovely and the team are charming. Really thoughtful extras like umberellas and raincoats, lots of DVDs and books if you just want to chill. great location, no car required for the whole weekend.

Really enjoyed our stay from the booking all the way through to checkin , stay, breakfast and checking out. The decor is current, crisp, and flowed as a theme should all through the hotel. The rooms quiet and well maintained with everything you could want. Breakfast on day 1 was exceptional and day 2 very good - different chefs .... More

First class from the moment we arrived, attention to detail is second to none, furnished beautifully and comfortably! Room was spotless with thoughtful extras.... Umbrellas, waterproof coats and a lovely box in the drawer - in case the seagulls got too noisy... Earplugs!! Chefs food was fab - right up there with Raymond!! Ben thank you!! All tag attentive knowledgable... More

The Old Quay House is an architectural gem in a naturally beautiful location with water lapping up against its walls from the adjacent River and views across to the opposite bank. Though a small hotel it has a very good restaurant where we have just spent New Years Eve and also enjoyed a splendid light lunch and a full English... More

The South African receptionist couldn't have been more helpful and friendly but the room was a bit of a shock, as with the restaurant your hotel designer had obviously got a deal on basket wear tables, chairs, mirrors, chests of drawers, etc. It was all too much and not very nice. The other thing is that the OQH lacked personality,... More

Three nights with two dinners in early November. This is a very well managed and comfortable hotel. Top floor suite was superb, as were the meals. Staff was excellent and friendly. Chef went out of his way to find sea bass for our dinner. Breakfasts also excellent.

Although we didn't have a room with a view, and it was quite small, it was well designed to make the most of the space, tastefully decorated and comfortable. I liked the fact there were ear-plugs in the drawer just in case those going home in the evening were a little on the loud side. I'm glad to say they... More

Really enjoyed our stay here. Really friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and well presented rooms. only criticism is that the bed was so hard, hardly got any sleep. The room we were in was very small and over looked a wall with no views but it was still nice. Other than that, perfect.
