After a torturous ride to and into the village center we (myself, wife, daughter and granddaughter) pulled up to the entrance to the Quay House, thereby blocking traffic in both directions, to be met by a young woman who not only assisted us with our luggage but also took our auto to the parking field some 1/2 mile away sparing... We were given a tiny, virtually insulting bowl of salad for £9.00 and a beer for £4.50. We had originally intended to stay for longer and have cream teas, more beer and enjoy the view. We also talked about celebrating my birthday there as it was within a taxi trip from our hotel but when this salad arrived it was... More

I stayed here recently as part of a four-week journey throughout England. This, without question, has been my favorite hotel. I stayed in room 6 on the water's edge. It was heavenly. I also had dinner one night at the hotel, and food was very good. I plan to return to this charming village and first-rate hotel.

I so wish our stay here could have been longer- from arrival to departure everything was managed smoothly and efficiently and by such engaging people. Our room was fabulous with wonderful views; evey detail has been thought through-plugs near the mirror for the hairdryer, fresh milk for tea in the little fridge in the hall, an umbrella and a waterproof... We have just arrived home after a lovely weekend at the Old Quay Hotel, a fantastic location the staff were so helpful and the room was perfect, also the food is delicious. If one had any slight whinge it would be that we thought it slightly overpriced, and also don't go if you hate seagulls! Very noisy. The bedrooms are... More

We looked for a convenient place so that we could visit the Eden Project for one of their 'music sessions' and so booked a 2 night stay in the Penthouse room in The Old Quay House. Having been to Fowey for our very first holiday together 30 years previous, Mrs M. and I knew what a quant place this little... More

Couldn't fault the excellent location, staff and food. Attention to detail was exceptional, waterproof jackets & wet weather gear available, even blankets for the cold evening on the quayside. Martin and his staff should be commended for providing the right ambience for their guests to enjoy a little bit of luxury!

I popped by here to have an afternoon tea many many years ago, so it seemed like something to do again now I was back in Fowey. It does not realy advertise its afternoon teas, or was not doing so when I went on a Tuesday afternoon, but it is well worth going along for. The terrace has to be... More

We have stayed at The Old Quay House numerous times in the last 7 years, we originally went back because we loved the room, the service, the professional touches and the helpful friendly attitude of the staff and during the past years this has continued and we have never been disappointed. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and Martin... More
