We called here for a meal and the view from the restaurant is amazing. Sadly we did not receive a warm welcome and the staff looked generally miserable throughout our stay. This could have been a wonderful experience with friendly welcoming staff. The Inn does not give the impression of cleanliness throughout. Some of our cutlery was stuck to the... More

We stayed here for one night. Our bedroom had seen better days but it was clean and had a lovely comfy bed but the best thing was the view. Looking over the busy river to Fowey and watching the ferry going back and forth was great. Sitting out on a balcony with a couple of cold drinks in the sun... More

We took advantage of the Travelzoo offer to try this again. The room we were given was small and a big disappointment it was tired and shabby. I think they are wise to these offers and save the best rooms for full paying guests. The service and food in the Restaurant was faultless. The view from the Restaurant over the... More

Great situation by the ferry in Bodinnick. Warm welcome from Pascale and his staff with wide range of local ales and selection of wines. Food was excellent either in dining room with fantastic view over Fowey Harbour or in the bar with locals and visitors alike. Varied menu catering for all tastes.

Situation is great, by the ferry and next to Daphne Du Mauriers holiday home. Staff were extremely helpful from arrival to departure and in between. We were going to eat in Looe but the menu looked good and did not disappoint so booked a table and definitely were not disappointed the cod is superb again the breakfast was of the... More

TOP TIP: Book a room with a river view!! This hotel is beautifully situated very near the Fowey Car Ferry and opposite a house once lived in by Daphne Du Maurier. The staff are extremely helpful and the restaurant served great food, a huge bonus as our first evening was spent watching a rather lively gale blowing across the river.... More

We wanted to visit The Royal Cornwall Show but left booking accommodation rather late. Fortunately there was one room left at The Old Ferry Inn. We had stayed there many moons ago but this time the new owner has made his mark and everything was 100% better. I would recommend this Inn for anyone who likes wonderful views of the... More

Over the estuary from Fowey on the car ferry, a 3 minute crossing (GBP4 per car and 2 persons) to Bodinnick. A nice view of Fowey and really quite nice looking across the river. Very comfortable, charming Inn, has had some extensive investment which makes this a delight. Rooms very nice, we had a second level with a lovely bay... More

My wife and I stayed here for a Saturday night and found it was the perfect choice. The staff were very welcoming and showed us to room 7 which has a lovely view across the river to Fowey. Daphne du Maurier fans will also enjoy view of 'Ferryside' which still belongs to the du Maurier family. The bar is cosy... More

Our room was rather small and the bathroom was tiny. The bed was comfortable and we slept well as the surrounding area is very quiet. The inn is situated on the opposite side of the estuary to Fowey, so if you plan on being in Fowey for the evening, you'll have trouble getting back to the hotel as the last... More
