My husband and I stayed for a two night break here recently and loved it. We arrived on the Friday evening had a lovely meal (reasonably priced) and a few drinks. All the staff at the old ferry inn are accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was great, loads of choice and very good quality. Nothing was too much trouble and the... More

We had booked for just one night, but wished it had been longer. My wife and I had a lovely room with a separate, private, modern bathroom, a comfy bed and a lovely view across the river. The owners were friendly and helpful and the evening meal we had there was excellent. It does have quite a few stairs -... More

We have stayed in the The Old Ferry Inn six times, we found it originally as a "dog friendly Cornish Pub with accommodation". Each time we have stayed there the welcome has been warm and friendly. The newish owner has made, and continues to make significant improvements to what was already a splendid bolt hole. Probably, the most outstanding feature... More

Having holidayed in Fowey for a number of years, we always pop in to The Old Ferry Inn for a few refreshing beverages to take in the splendour of the Estuary in the sunshine. This year the setting was perfect - looking over the Estuary from the patio with the sun ablaze the setting was fantastic ! The one downside... More

On a warm April afternoon, following a good days walking, where better to put your feet up and enjoy a perfect pint? We had completed a circular walk which led us back to The Old Ferry Inn and were fortunate enough to find a seat in the sun, tucked away out of the breeze, overlooking the wonderful Fowey Estuary. A... More

After seeing review from White Eagle rather annoyed!! Stayed in same room with similar if not worse problems from Room 1 above. Stomping around at all hours, moving furniture, rowing and yelling using foul language. Complained to Pete (seemed to be in charge) who said he would knock and see if they had a problem! Complained to Pascal (owner) but... More

Stayed here 2 nights on a website deal so was good value and nice to have a cream tea too on arrival! Parking is not easy but that's not the hotel's fault as it is v.limited and v.steep. Room (No.11 I think) was adequate but could do with updating - nicer bedlinen and curtains would make a big difference. The... More

This was our second stay at the old Ferry Inn and it was as good as the first. Dog friendly although we couldnt take them into the dining room so our breakfasts were eaten in either the bar or the lounge with a stunning view over the harbour anyway. The food at this Inn is outstanding which meant we ate... More

We received a very warm welcome from both staff and locals. We stayed in room 12 that was a nice size, especially useful as we had our 2 Golden retrievers with us. The weather was lovely and so we had an aperitif outside overlooking the estuary before the sun went down (it was at the end of March). The evening... More

Spent a night at the Old Ferry Inn with my wife and some good friends. The bar, service and food where all good and we retired in good spirits to rooms 3 and 4. The rooms are at best ok, no en suite but we knew that, bed and pillows adequate but any movement in the room above, room 1,... More
