What kind of hotel let's you phone and book a table for dinner with children, and then turns you away when you arrive with nothing more than a very insincere 'sorry'. Fowey Hall Hotel - thanks a bunch. After driving for an hour through heavy traffic we were looking forward to dinner and a relaxing evening. On arrival we were... More

Paid nearly £ 2000 for a three night bed and breakfast stay here and I must say that i found the whole experience a bit of a rip off. I cannot see how these places can justify their prices. I have stayed in quite a few higher end hotels - i think Fowey Hall tries to portray itself at this... More

Stayed for a few days with our boys (aged 11 and 12) and had a very relaxing break. It was quiet busy as it was the school holidays but there is so much for the kids to do and the grounds are so big that it was easy not feel it was crowded. The food was very good. I had... More

We were lucky enough to receive a 'Tea for two' experience at the hotel , as an anniversary present. We had the pleasure of spending a lovely afternoon on the hotel terrace and attempted to devour an enormous selection of delicious sandwiches and cakes. I'm afraid that they defeated us, but the hotel happily boxed up the remainder for us... More

We stayed at this great hotel at the start of August, we were all part of the Sea Summit challenge team. The hotel rooms were very large, beds were comfortable with the exception of the camp beds, which in the middle of the night the slates would move from the supports and then you would suddenly find yourself lying close... I think the title relays my opinion perfectly, but in the interest of being a little more informative I would add; Fantastically child friendly, every element of your stay has been carefully considered in order to make it easy and fun. From toys in the cot bed, cookies and milk served in the evening to tables set up with highchairs... More

We recently returned from our stay at Fowey Hall for 4 days with two children aged 7 and 12. We booked a family suite which was wonderful, with the children having their own room upstairs which led out onto a private terrace. Our room was large and comfortable with balcony windows, and an outstanding view of the bay and sea.... More

We visited last Sunday for a relaxing lunch. We called ahead and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming over the phone and when we arrived. We ordered a couple of main meals for ourselves and as our children had already had some lunch they shared a children's meal which the staff kindly divided into two portions for us. The... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fowey Hall. It is a beautiful Hotel, with fantastic views across the estuary and out to sea. The service was personable and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We went with our two children, aged 8 and 6 and they immediately were at home, running to the zip-wire and exploring the garden, which... More

Dear Kate Thanks for leaving us such a positive review, I will pass on your comments to the team. I take your point that we're not a 5 star hotel in the traditional sense, I would describe us more as a home from home where families of all ages can come have a wonderful time in this old home, be...
