I found this place last week. What a find. A great old pub with a restaurant that must be unique in the uk. The stained glass window is worthy of a cathedral let alone a humble pub. Tribute and Proper Job on tab. David the new patron and chef is very good. Known him from his days at the Crab... More

Had some gorgeous sandwiches here for a light lunch. From the upstairs floor there is a lovely view of the streets of Fowey; good for dog spotting! Thought the sandwiches were very good value for money and were very tasty too.

We were having dinner on Good Friday, and we really enjoyed. We ordered scallops with curry and mussels. Great election. We Will be back for sure If we go again to cornwall. We really liked IT. Thank.

We always spend an hour or so most days of our holiday in the Ship. It is very friendly and welcoming, and in November the log far can be very welcome. Not make to feel like an outsider as you can in some bars. Great beers and ciders. Easy access for Internet is big bonus. Thoroughly recommend.

On visiting my son & family for the first in Fowey, we went in here for some food, we went upstairs as there was an elderly gent puffing away on a pipe in a corner!!!not a good start, after finding a table my son & daughter went back downstairs to the bar to order & were completely ignored as the... Chose The Ship from the 'the lucky dip' section of the Good Pub as we haven't visited this area before. All five meals were disappointing, the chips and peas were cold and the fish was over cooked and dry. Also, the beer was more expensive than the other pubs further down the road. My advise, steer clear, walk a little... More

We dropped into the Ship early evening as a recce for something to eat (based on reviews on TA). First impressions not good. The bar person was more interested in chatting to the lads at the end of the bar, and to cap it all collected some empty glasses from some of our party before the rest of us had... More

didn't eat here but drank here a couple of nights. One night it was well rowdy, the other not so. I expect that probably depends on who comes in. Fag-butts ahoy on the pavement outside. No telly in the room, but for £30 what does one expect? This is a pub built in something like 1570 so no en-suites either,... More

Staying a week in Fowey we had five of our meals in The Ship Inn, after the first superb meal - we always sat in the bar area - it was difficult not to call back in the following evening. On our last evening it seemed like a good idea to venture into another eatery so after calling in The... More
