Lovely setting,friendly staff, good selection of beer..unfortunately some overpriced poor quality food. thai fish cakes were sloppy in texture and our mussels all still had beards attatched showing lack of food knowledge. we were offered complimentary desserts and told we would not be charged for mussels when we sent mussels back!! wont be back..shame. Been here a lot of times and always return, not ever a fault with the food and the service is also great. Plenty to choose from on the meu and always a first rate meal for a decent price. Also decent choice on the wine list. More

We love it here.The staff are welcoming, the food is good there is plenty of space and good surroundings. The only slight complaint I would have is that I feel that they are a little overpriced. It is quite exensive and I feel they must remember that they are in Gateshead and not London. Overall though,....great More

What a great last minute find this was, we arrived early and they very kindly let us check in early, the triple room was absolutely beautiful and spacious, the beds were such good quality and extremely comfy, the cleanliness was brilliant. We even had a little '4 in the bed' test for a giggle and we could find no faults!... More

I have stayed here a few times and every time is better, The rooms are better then some 5 star hotels and the staff are very helpfull. Food is great with an excellent choice. If your looking for home comforts with an up market feel then stay here. More
