Over the past month I have visited the Bowes Incline five times and on each visit I have tucked in to the wonderful food with relish. On arrival you notice how wonderfully warm and welcoming the eating areas are which is a bonus when the weather outside is so cold. I have enjoyed the steak and kidney pudding with a... More

This small hotel takes some finding, part of its charm. Keep the faith as you past the stables and riding school. Once found a nice, clean compact room in the galley-like extension. Odd entry to the hotel rooms to check in, I guess for security. Food is fantastic, very atmospheric restuarant and very enjoyable evening. Breakfast was equally good. I... More

We have just stayed at the Bowes Incline for a weekend, for our annual family reunion, with 30 of us also being fed both nights. This has been about the best accommodation we have had for this annual event, which we have held for many years. The food was superb, fantastic taste, presentation, very large portions and great service. The... More

My self and my two little Girls stayed here recently and found it delightful. The manager and the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed! The food was fabulous and the Menu was packed with everything you could think of, we're defiantly heading back there again. :-) More

We booked a table for a special family meal, 13 people, age range 80 to 1 year. We had a really lovely night, the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The place has a lovely atmosphere, really cosy. We all ordered various meals from the menu including steaks, chef specials, vegetarian and child meals. Every single one of us... More

About 40 of us stayed here for a weekend, and the service was excellant. The staff went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable with their warmth and caring attitude specially Chris, who seemed to be working 24hrs there. The excellant food, clean rooms, comfy beds, countryside setting and the wonderful staff all made for a very... More

Approx 40 of us stayed at this hotel. Fantastic hotel with the best staff ever. Nothing was too much bother and they aimed to please. In particular Chris was the best one there. It seemed like he was there night and day and worked really hard. Food was excellent and so was the service. Will definately be back. More
