Not very pleasent. Bed linen had stains, there was a hole in the wall, pull out bed was broken, 1 member of staff not very attentitive however the other was very good. Basic, shabby and dirty just about sums up this Travelodge. Stairwell littered and badly in need of decoration. Room decent size but basic beyond belief. Nothing really to say - standard Travelodge fayre. Staff were very polite, KFC nearby and also a buffet restaurant 5 mins walk. Need a car really as cab fares are 10-15 pounds into Newcastle. Near to the metro centre. More

I booked this hotel for two of my colleagues who were in Newcastle on business and they were very happy with this Travelodge. The room was clean, shower was good, bed was clean. Location was good as there was few eating places walking distance. They would definitely stay here again. More

Bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean but unheated - would be cold in winter. Room was shabby and walls grubby. We were on the back of the lodge so very quiet especially considering proximity to road. Time for a refurb. More

Don't expect standard travelodge rooms, this is much worse. Mouldy bathrooms, dank smell and cheap décor. Worth paying £15 pppn (which is very cheap for Newcastle) but no more. You need a car if staying here. More
