My husband & I held our 25th Wedding Anniversary here on 12/7/14. I cannot compliment the staff enough, they were fantastic. The food was unbelievably good. Without exception, every single one of our guests said the food was gorgeous. The function room was decorated lovely, another comment made by a lot of our guests. I was a little concerned about... We stayed as we were attending an engagement party there. Function & Catering Excellent set out, lovely food and efficient service - absolutely no complaints other than I would have opened some of the doors as it was boiling hot. Accomodation VERY Basic! The cleaners obviously have never seen a duster or know how to use one as our entire... More

The Hotel is a in a really great quiet location on the Tyne however it is let down by a few things. 1) The beds has a broken springs so dips in the middle a lot! (How could of this happened?) 2) No remote for the TV so have to change channels and adjust volume on the TV itself.

I feel I have to write a review because we have just spent a lovely weekend here at our friends wedding. Yes, it's not the best hotel we've ever stayed at but I have to say the staff went all-out to make the wedding day very special for our friends. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated and basic but... More

We've come on a hen do and it was absolutely awful stay!!! The staff were extremely rude to us on arrival the blonde haired girl especially and they treated us like something off of the bottom of their shoe! There was no essentials in our room we had one towel for 2 people! No toilet roll in the rooms! The... More

This was the only available hotel in Newcastle because of a Man Utd football game and as such the price had been hiked from £35 to £80. Unfortunately the room was only 80% cleaned, the `4 poster` was a rickety cage arrangement and thechipboard floors were loose and v noisy. The bed was clean as was the bathroom.Breakfast was satisfactory. They... More

We confirmed our rooms three times but on arrival were told we only had one room (should of been two). We missed the beginning of our friends wedding reception trying to sort this out. Eventually we were given a room that had just been 'cancelled' The hotel is badly in need of a makeover and the floor boards a very... More

I have stayed in many cheap hotels in my time and I would usually expect to have to rough it a bit if I am paying £35 a night for accommodation. For £80, however, it is not acceptable to be in such a dirty room; with the stain on the side of the bath, I didn't even risk the shower... More

From the moment I stepped into the hotel. It was very stressful. First of all to be told my booking had been lost. Then only 'happen' to be re-booked in on the off chance that someone cancelled. Then they tried to charge me double price of the agreed upon price. Room was nice but bath and shower curtain was disgusting!... More
