We stayed two nights at Birchleigh for the Cartmel race meeting. We were greeted by Linda and Peter and shown to our room, we had room 4. Decorated to a high standard, with a very nice clean bathroom. Tea/coffee tray with fresh milk, nice touch. Breakfast was excellent, far better than any hotel and cooked fresh to order. Good choice... More

We stayed here for 1 night with our son in room 4 on the second floor. The room is extremely clean, fresh and well decorated. The bathroom has top of the range fixtures and fittings. The owners were welcoming and friendly and the breakfast delicious. My husband and I had a glass of wine on the patio area at the... More

Arranged a mini break at Birchleigh as a treat for my mothers birthday and we were not disappointed. Chosen using the other trip advisors reviews they were spot on ... what a gem. Greeted by Linda and Peter and shown to room 4, a large spacious second floor room overlooking the road. It was well appointed with a double and... More

We have stayed at birchleigh numerous times and have always found it to be immaculately clean, the breakfasts are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Very friendly hosts with two cheeky little dogs. Excellent value for money. There is ample parking at the public car park pretty much next door which is really reasonably priced. Will definitely be back... More

Found this by walking around for a extra night. Really, really very good, clean and decorated to a very high standard. Only four rooms, ours was very pleasant with TV if required coffee and tea with Fresh Milk! Breakfast was cooked to a high standard by the lady of the house and served by Peter. Very good welcoming atmosphere, they... More

Only 4 rooms but better than large hotel provision. My room was very tastefully decorated with everything a person might need for a comfortable night. The fresh milk was a lovely touch. Breakfast freshly cooked with a wide selection. As a single older, female traveller I felt safe and welcome. Linda and Peter were friendly but not intrusive. I would... More

I stayed for only one night after finding it on Trip Advisor. It is spotless, tastefully decorated throughout. I stayed in room 1, a very soft bed, I would have preferred a firmer one but that is personal preference. I was asked what time I would like breakfast and as I had an early start, I asked for 7.30am, even... More

A small guest house with 4 rooms tucked into the main street quite close to the centre of Grange. We were in Room 1, a double with en suite on the first floor with a distant view of the sea. The room was clean and comfortable, but fairly "compact". Nice en suite shower room though with good quality fittings and... More

What a lovely stay. We had a family room. Easy to book, very very clean. Comfortable bed, very central location. Probably the best toast, bacon and poached egg I have ever had. We were allowed to go off menu slightly to suit our needs. The family room was a very decent size for three peope and the shower was very... More
