Time almost stands still when you visit the Netherwood. I can think of nothing better than sitting in timeless elegant décor, eating excellent food, served by attentive staff in front of a roaring fire. Well done to all the team for their efforts and attention to detail, this level of detail shows through in the service your receive as a... More

Just returned from a wedding at The Netherwood. A lovely hotel with sensational views. We stayed in room 38 in Rock House which is in the hotel grounds. It was a huge room with a balcony which looked right out over towards the estury. The hotel had a lovely relaxed atmostphere and the manager was exteremely helpful with a sunny... More

This hotel has great, atmospheric reception rooms - oak panelling, log fire, deeply cushioned sofas. Rooms are comfortable although a bit dark at the back. Shower was an 'instant hot water' model so rather lacking in power. Perhaps this explains why the hotel isn't full of Americans given it's English quaintness. Food in the restaurant is good but priced for... More

We decided on our wedding at this beautiful hotel for the venue and customer service we had already been impressed with from previous visits. Mike the manager could not do enough to help and tge rest of the staff were amazing too. Our day was perfect, made possible by their flawless planning. Venue, food, service faultless. Thank you soooo much... More

Very surprised ,! To be staying in this very nice 19c converted manor house ,it was a fantastic choice , the rooms are a bit dated but very clean and the bed and bathroom are both very comfortable and well appointed , I was very lucky to be on the first floor looking out over the bay !it was a... Spent a fabulous day as a wedding guest of Jack and Rebecca Myers at the hotel, the staff were fantastic and the setting was outstanding but sorry to say the carpet in our room was a mess even though the room itself was spotless. Just a shame that something so basic spoilt the room (105) my wife did not want... More

This, for us, is the perfect Sunday lunch venue - extremely interesting hotel overall, grand and comfortable, with very high standards. The views were wonderful and the grounds were terraced so lots of places to sit outside for coffee on a lovely day. The staff, service and food were excellent and even white tablecloths (!), a sure sign of quality... More

We needed to get away but could not go far. We only live about 20 miles away. It was wonderful trip. The food was delicious, all the lounges are lovely places to retreat to either during the day or after dinner. Service was great. We were fortunate to make use of the special summer midweek rate. Excellent value DB&B for... More

We visited the hotel for a friends wedding and were really impressed by the character of the hotel and grounds. As a wedding venue it is perfect and the service was good throughout the day. We stayed in the Rock House annexe which was away from the main hotel but our parents had a room in the main hotel. Both... More
