Have used TLs quite a lot over the years and had a one night stay in this one en route to see family further north. Handy location, great staff, good parking, nice clean quiet room. Great value for money. Don't eat at the the adjoining rip-off Moto services, there's an ASDA nearby (by car) which does a great breakfast for just £2. more

The Lodge is good. Right by the A1, car park shared with Moto, very helpful and pleasant staff. But the LIttle Chef ... these services have always had a poor reputation, but the service and the food at the Little Chef was absolutely appalling. Do yourself a favour, stay at one of the alternative Lodges, please! more

The staff were very helpful, the rooms comfortable with free tea and coffee. 1 double bed, 1 sofa and 1 pull out bed more than enough room for a family with 2 teenage kids under 16. With local town only 5 minutes away with, cinema, bowling and plenty of restaurants it was a good stop off on the way to... more
