A good Travel Lodge, large clean room, with a decent bathroom. The room was basic, but you have everything you need, tea/coffee making, a TV with 5 channels, and a clean bed. What can really be said about a Travelodge. This one is no better or no worse than the countless others we have stayed in. We chose this Travelodge as it seemed a good place to stop for a night half-way on a journey north to Newcastle (the hotel is located on the north-bound side of the A1). Needing an overnight stay near to Grantham to break a very long journey I chose [by default] the Colsterworth Travelodge [at the junction of the A1/A151] on my outbound journey. This was a bad mistake! The Lodge is adjacent to a major truck stop and the refrigeration units were running all night! This lodge is in need of major refurbishment... more
