paid £7.00 for a salmon salad eceived a plate of grotty lettuce two olives with a small amount of salmon, on top it was dreadful. Carrpet in the bar is tatty they could do with a tiled floor for all the golfers walking through. A few changes could make this a nice hotel. more

The Hotels setting is absolutely fantastic set beside the two 18 hole golf courses. The checking in was quick, easy and friendly. The room was an executive room and we had views of the golf course and a shared balcony, which could have done with a clean, but the room itself was an excellent size and was equipped with broadband,... more

I booked the Belton Woods Hotel for two nights in May, as I had planned a surprise trip on the Orient Express for my wifes birthday, leaving from Grantham. I chose this Hotel as it was just outside the town and promised to be in a beautiful setting. First impressions were very good. The grounds were extensive and well kept.... more

First impressons very good. A large well kept building with fantastic leisure facilities. However the food and service in the restaurant were both as awful as each other. On asking what the soup of the day was the young waitress said she would go and check... fair enough. However, she did not return and no other member of staff came... more

We stayed one night in a 'double double' room which accommodated all 4 of us (2 adults/2 children) It was average - but pretty much as we expected. The room was a little tired, but the housekeeping leaved a lot to be desired - the valance on the bed was thick with dust - clearly hadn't been cleaned/changed in a... more

Although this hotel was recommended to us by a friend, after reading the online reviews, we were somewhat apprehensive. We need not have worried, we had a surprisingly relaxing weekend with our 2 children,12 and 7 yrs old. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate in Stantons on the first evening and had a lovely 3 course meal,... more

Arrived Friday 13th Feb for a Valetine Weekend break, as expected from a De Vere Hotel check in and room very good. We were late arriving and immediately went down to Dinner. The waitress was young but very polite and we ordered our food and a bottle of wine paying £30 for a bottle of Madfish Charadonnay which even in... more

I suppose that this hotel is mainly focussed on the golfing community, as it's at the centre of 45 holes in very pleasant pastoral countryside. Perhaps it has decided that the golf is enough and it doesn't have to try too hard as far as the hotel and restaurant aspects go. The rooms are fine although not exceptional - good... more

I stayed at this hotel to meet with friends on a DBB basis to visit a friend who had relocated. The hotel does not merit four stars by any stretch of the imagination. The rooms were adequate and clean,of motel standard but nothing special. The staff were for the most part young and friendly but missing the type of polish usually encounted... more
