Having stopped at the Marriot in Grantham before and writing a review for tripadviser, I needed to return to this part of the world with work. Unfortunatley the Marriot was booked and I ended up here.

I have stopped at Travelodge's before and generally they have been OK, but this is very poor.

The first point that struck me was the shabby lobbey area as I entered. I then approached the desk to find a not saying "sorry Im in the hotel working, press the pager button" which of course I did. After at least 15 minutes of waiting around a lady finally popped up to check me in, or so I thought. Instead I was told how there was no record of my booking and that credit card details were needed. This was after the lady searched through hundreds of bits of paper scattered all over the desk! Very professional!! I finally got my room key after finding my proof of booking.
