This is the second time that we have visited, the first for morning coffee and home made bakes and the second, on the basis of the first visit experience was for an evening meal. We were not disappointed and the quality of the food was excellent. A good venue and attentive staff without being overpowering. The views from the dining... More

We were staying in Grantown on Spey and saw a sign as we were driving that said "Non Residents Welcome". We pulled into the driveway and I went to enquire if they were doing food and if I could look at the menu. The lady behind the bar replied with" Yes, if you can give me a few minutes and... More

A lovely boutique, quality, small hotel. Very welcoming and with truly excellent staff . We were made so welcome. The hotel booked the Boat of Garten Golf Course for us (a real gem!) and we had a very enjoyable round there. We enjoyed fine food throughout our stay at the hotel, especially the signature breakfast porridge! The chef was very... More

We were only here one night, but would loved to stay longer as the room, service and food was fabulous. Rarely does one sleep in such a comfortable bed and the owners must be congratulated for their ability to combine innovation and tradition with style in a novel way. The decor and facilities in our room, the Glenbogle, we seem... More

I stayed here in July 2015 with my three sons and we loved it. It has been recently refurbished by new owners and so you can ignore older reviews. It has been beautifully designed with incredible attention to detail. It immediately felt like home (or the home I wished for) and we added an extra night to our stay. Fantastic... More

Had a fabulous visit here earlier in the year and have been so looking forward to being here again. From the moment you step into the Hall, you are 'transported' into a Country House atmosphere and yet there is no air of 'stuffiness' that can be experienced in some establishments. Everyone can enjoy the beautiful public rooms so beautifully furnished... More

Head to toe spot on - great service by personable staff - little extras to make you smile and happy to answer endless questions about the new look. Range of choices for eating in terms of atmosphere, inside, ootside, conservatory. Greta use of local produce. So good to see the phoenix rise......

Fantastic afternoon tea in lovely surroundings. The hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard and has lots of fascinating features and decor. We were a party of four with one child (aged 11) and this was a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. We had our tea in the library and there was no rush whatsoever. We... More

Just back form a night at Muckrach. It is a fantastic hotel and we'll definitely be back. It is stylish, immaculate and not at all pretentious. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was great. The staff were very attentive. We stayed in the Cairngorm room which had a fantastic double-aspect view. The bathroom was fab (the only... More

This newly renovated country house hotel sets a very high standard. Nothing is too much trouble for the exemplary staff, who manage to get the right mix of friendly, good service. It is beautifully furnished and so makes for a very relaxing stay. The location provides an ideal base for touring the Cairngorms, Aviemore and Braemer. the Whisky Trail of... More
