We dined here during a short break in the area. The food and service were 1st class, the building spectacular and the staff very attentive. Well worth the trip and a great find for us. Congratulations to the new owners in creating such a high quality place.

We had dinner here on our first evening because the restaurant in our hotel was closed. We had a great meal in amazing surroundings. We went back today for a snack after our 17 mile hike on the Speyside Way and were not disappointed. A great range of options served all day. The hotel was apparently closed for a year... More

We decided at the last minute one morning in Edinburgh to drive up through the Highlands and stay in Speyside area - so that we could go to the Whiskey Trail for the day. We were spending a week in Scotland on vacation from NYC. So we found this place and it was amazing! It's gorgeous. You couldn't ask for... More

I was a regular visitor to Grantown as a child and this was my first visit back in 30 years. I was told by my friend and host that I had been there before but i have no recollection. The simplist thing to say is that this hotel is almost faultless in every way. Granted I only stayed one night,... More

Beautiful setting and style of interior is just my thing. Others have written that is beautiful inside and done up in such a way that you just feel comfortable in it, straight away. I love the chandeliers, decoration, furniture, everything. Even the handwash and lotion in the bathrooms! The meal was lovely and very reasonably priced too. I hope this... More

We had 2 evening meals here on a recent visit to Scotland. Both meals were superb with a professional lone piper playing on our second visit as it was on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is part of the hotel but is open to non residents. We were very impressed with both the service and the quality of the food.... More

We were so well looked after by the lovely staff. Clearly no expense has been spared and every detail thought about which added to our feeling of being cared for. While this is pure luxury not once did it feel pretentious, just warm, comfortable and welcoming. Our room was superb with beautiful furniture, digital radio, big flat screen, extremely comfortable... More

Best ever morning coffee. Beautifully presented with the freshest scones cream. and. huge tasty rasberries and strawberries. The service was excellent with real attention to detail. Cannot wait to go back for lunch or dinner.

We spent 3 nights at Muckrach Country House and everything about our time was wonderful. We are all of our meals at the hotel (B and D each day) and the food was excellent. Between the 2 of us I think we ate just about everything on the menu, from the Sunday Roast, to smoked trout, to lamb and salmon.... More

The Muckrach has recently opened after refurbishment with the new owners have made a fantastic job of it. Their attention to detail is second to none. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food (all locally sourced) was terrific. The terrace is a welcome addition. This would be a terrific wedding or private party venue. A true 5* Scottish... More
