Old world charm at the newly restored Craiglynne Hotel. Our Victorian granite hotel, situated under the majestic Cairngorms, has just been restored and refurbished to the highest standards. With 82 stylish rooms and superb grounds, relaxing here during your stay is irresistible; however we also highly recommend visiting the beautiful villages, mountains, rivers and forests nearby. After a day exploring, there's nothing better than sinking into an armchair by one of our roaring log fires to share stories of Lochness, Inverness and the hugely popular whisky trail. Terrible! We stayed for 5 nights and for two of them we were accomodated in a double room that was obviously once a single,as I had to climb across the bed to get to my side as it was against the wall! Plus the washbasin was in the room completely separate from the bathroom! I thought I had been transported... more

I thank you for taking the time to write a review on our hotel, I was deeply concerned to read the points raised and have thoroughly investigated them with my team. Just came back from a school tour and stayed here with a group of 53. As the leader of the group I am always concerned about how the members of the group are treated. I was very pleased with the the staff as they went out of their way to make our group happy. The manager was especially helpful with... more

As a local i am delighted that the Craiglynne Hotel is being brought back to its former glory. My husband and I decided to try the new menus after receiving a promotional offer. We found the food most enjoyable and delightful service with smiling happy staff. The menus have something for everyone and we will definetly be recommending the Craiglynne... more

Room was spacious with comfortable bed and tartan touches on curtains and bedcover. The en-suite was basic but clean. The restaurant was positioned with a good view, and the food was good. The bar and lounge were very relaxing. We travelled with a group on a tour, and stayed for 3 nights. There were some lovely walks nearby. more

We stayed here while on an organised train/coach holiday. The hotel has undergone a great deal of refurbishment, and infact is not completed as yet, no curtains/pictures in public areas. The reception area is lovely, bright, clean and tastefully decorated. Our bedroom was freshly painted with a firm clean bed, a brand new shower in the (over heated) bathroom. The... more

I arranged a group stay (around thirty rooms) at the hotel, and we had it pretty-much to ourselves. I had read the reviews already posted and was a little apprehensive at the prospect of the stay, but it turned out to be perfectly acceptable... to me at least. The staff were brilliant, and helped us at every turn. Admittedly without... more

I booked a round trip in Scotland and the travel agent choosed the Craiglynne Hotel. Because of the mixed reviews in Trip Advisor I was courious to see the hotel with my own eyes. Let me say it right away: I liked this hotel very much. It is charming, clean and comfortable. The temperature in the room was perfect. I... more
