God this place was like an Old People's Home ! and I have never heard creaky floors like it in my life. Woken at 6am both mornings by people walking on floor above our heads. The food was mediocre, luckily we were only eating breakfast there but we had relatives staying too who had booked in for dinner and the... more

This is perhaps the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When we entered the lobby the first evening the lights were so bright we thought they were shooting a movie. Perhaps a dimmer is in order. The staff was neither friendly or helpful. Our double room was so small that I felt as if we were in a closet.... more

I was so depressed when I saw the room (read: closet ) that I grabbed the room's writing implement, which was a representative unsharpened pencil, apropos of the entire stay at this overpriced, dirty, inconveniently laid out horror of a lodging. We should have known from the hideous decor and un-vacuumed lobby, what lay ahead. An 82 room hotel without... more

There is nothing wrong with cheap 'n' cheerful accomodation but this place takes the oatcake! It's not cheap ( especially if you fall for the con of of one of their "deluxe " rooms) and its bloody miserable. Even if you ignore the all pervading smell of urine, the stained carpets and bedding and the comically undertrained staff you will... more

I'd rather not go too far as to how bad this hotel, it's accommodations, desk staff, and food were as I'm trying to forget it. Fortunately, my stays elsewhere on this trip before and after Speyside were wonderful. The Crerar website is a perfect example of false advertising. Our twin room had beds which were child size and not full... more

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review on our hotel. I was concerned to read the points that you have highlighted, especially with respect to our twin rooms. All of our twin rooms have standard single size beds that you will find in most hotels. During your stay our hotel was fully booked and no other twin...

Just had 3 nights on DBB June Special. Good value price. Twin room as part of package had a lovely view, but not a spacious room. Wardrobe small and no drawers so had to use suitcase - but that was ok. Bathroom ok but no space for toiletries - could do with another shelf. Could hear everything from next door!... more

The Craiglynne is a lovely hotel. We had a nice meal included on our first night. All of the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Staff members Chrissie and Kelly were very good to us as were the serving staff, and the night porter who let us have lots of lovely drinks into the night was great also. I... more

we had a 2 night stay at this hotel 26th-28th and have to say the staff here are the most helpful you could get.. They go that little bit extra for you and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food was excellent, and served with such efficiency . we would recommend this hotel as a friendly well run... more
