Grantown-on-Spey wasn't originally on our radar but it seemed a good place to stop for the night. The decision proved to be a great one, as did choosing the Seafield Lodge. Sure, it's a little bit on the dated side, but it's got plenty of charm and sometimes stepping back in time is just the ticket. The location is close... More

My wife and I were in Granton on Spey last week and looking for somewhere to eat we visited the Seafield Lodge after looking at the nearby pie shop which was heaving with diners, I'm glad we did. The service is excellent. and the food hearty and tasty, I had the steak pie which was as good as you will... More

Not many places to eat in Grantown on a Monday nigh but we found Seafield lodge. Had a lovely meal in the bar area. Great choice of Food which was very tasty. We had excellent service from the very friendly and efficient bar manager Richard. Very pleasant evening.

Not worth the money. Safety issues over step into the bathroom! Could have been cleaner. Restaurant! Food was very dissapointing. Lack of staff very obvious. Relatively new manager who did his best with an obvious lack of supporting staff. Owners want to invest in upgrade of the rooms and much better support for their staff. Found better hotels and food... More

Stayed Fri/Sat nights on a 2 night B&B with Dinner on the first night deal. Room was basic, clean and comfortable. Lorretta and Charlotte were kept busy due to staff illness. The bar was empty on the Friday. We had an excellent meal almost on our own. On the Saturday night it was so busy that people were having a... More

We ate here twice in a week where other restaurants were limited or booked up in advance with coach parties. The new assistant manager was very welcoming and recommended the food as a new chef was in the hotel. It was all freshly made with generous portions, great value for money and very tasty. There isn't a separate dining room... More

Sorry to disagree with other reviewers. Maybe our visit found the owner, Loretta, stressed and under pressure from staff shortage. Our group of Speyside walkers stayed, ate dinner and breakfasted here. Sadly, we were seriously underwhelmed by the service and the quality generally. The rooms were adequate but lacking that bit of thought. My room window faced a wall a... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The room was a decent size, I had ordered a twin by mistake but that wasn't a problem. We ate dinner in the hotel and the food was excellent, breakfast was ok, could have done with a little more choice. The hotel was clean and the service was excellent with really friendly... More

Having originally booked for two nights we ended up staying for three. The "salmon suite" was spotlessly clean and plenty big and comfortable enough for the three of us (mum dad and two and a half year old son). Ok, so the bathroom was slightly dated but we all loved the spa bath! Ideal after a days exploring. Food was... More
