From beginning to end this place was a disappointment - the decor and cleanliness were well below par, the bedding even had a hole in it! There was no hot water any time we tried to shower (on a walking holiday this was particularly a problem!) Breakfast was the cheapest of everything - and the cooking left a lot to... More

a grand old hotel, very comfy and well positioned in Grantown. staff were very accomodating and helpful, offering to dry our wet clothes in the boiler room overnight. some fixtures and fittings were a little old but this did not detract from the experience. More

This B&B is very tired and old fashioned, and would have been a total disappointment if not for the lovely owners. We stayed in many B&B's in Scotland and the owners were above average for service, but the facilities were definitely under par. I was quite nieve when booking, not realising the area was so big on hunting, and was... More

Have just returned from a wonderful night at Seafield lodge. We were upgraded to the salmon suite which was a lovely suprise, very spacious with a whirlpool bath. Very clean hotel, traditional villa. Staff very friendly. Would have stayed longer if we didn't have to get back to work! More

Stayed 1 night prior to going onto support nephews in Loch Ness Marathon (both did great). Lorreta the owner was most friendly, provided lots of info, would have liked to stay longer to explore the area, room 6 a double was very clean and had what we needed. Good choice on menu and reasonable prices food was very good we... More

The hotel was in need of fixing up. The room was not fresh, the beds average and general condition OK. The dinner ther was good and the service and staff pleasant. Just misses being a winner. More

Like the friendly welcome but although the price was in par with other Highland hotels we ate at; the place really looks run down from the smelly carpets and stained table cloths in the breakfast room to the weird African type momentous rather strange really. The room was fine with a nice firm bed, clean and functional with breakfast included... More

We stayed at the Seafield Lodge for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel is very close to the town centre - just behind the main street - and provides an ideal location for visiting the north east of Scotland and Inverness. We received a warm welcome from the owner/manager who tried to give us an up-grade.... More

A very friendly welcome but after that all went downhill. The bed was too soft to sleep in without suffering a very bad back. Waterpipes rattled and squeaked. I was very disappointed with the evening meals I ordered (steak pie which was inedible, was offered with chips OR vegetables) although my husband's choices were better. We won't be back at... More

Good value. Well located for our purposes which was to travel about the highlands of Scotland. We took four day trips from Grantown. Nice local golf course which I played for about $40 US. STAFF DELIGHTFUL, FOOD GREAT, SERVICE FINE. Plenty of off street parking. There is no lift. More
