Nice hotel in Grantown on Spey which is a great location for a whisky tour or wildlife and nature exploring. The room was comfortable and represented good value for money. The staff were all friendly and the breakfast chef found some local speciality to interest our Swedish friends. The evening meal was great and there is not much else locally... More

Stayed here for two nights with my husband on a touring holiday of the area. Had a very nice room facing the road with a fabulous bathroom, recently done I think. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We had a dog with us and she was allowed in the bar , which was great. It was a lovely bar area, with... More

Once I'd found somewhere to park (the hotel doesn't have its own car park) and managed to squeeze through the tight revolving door (awkward with large bags) into the spacious lobby I was greeted warmly and directed to my room on the second floor via an ancient lift with manually-operated doors. My single room at the front of the building... More

We stayed for 4 nights, having seen the hotel advertised regularly in the RSPB magazine. Our room, a deluxe one, was large, quiet and comfortable. Meals were very good and portions suitable for walkers, although my wife who tends to not eat much meat thought the choice for vegetarians limited (one night the veggie starter had been the main veggie... A great value booking, and at the end of a long snowy journey up, I was met by cheerful and helpful staff. The room was a good size, comfortable and warm. I didn't eat evening meal there - the prices were higher than my companies allowances - but breakfast was particularly good. The hotel is run as a 'wildlife' hotel,... More

Welcoming Hotel with all you need for a "rest". Breakfast is very good but sometimes is hot buffet style. This is a compromise from a cooked to order breakfast that stands head and shoulders above the buffet. Rooms are comfortable and Wi Fi is OK. Lots of information for the birdwatching and wildlife crowd. Fabulous scenery, great location.

Our third stay here. We had Room 104 which is a very nice large 'superior' room on the first floor corner of the hotel with two aspects and a turret window, plus a spacious bathroom with a large bath and a very efficient shower. The absence of a heated towel rail was a notable omission but the bathroom was particularly... More

This place was refreshing after B&B's and the breakfast and meals in the hotel were splendid.. Okay, you want to try a real English hotel that reminds you of those you have seen on BBC movies and Alfred Hitchcock. This is it. It's an all in one spot with a restaurant, a pub and it is the wildlife hotel of... More

On business in the area and the Grant Arms Hotel was a central location to meet some close family. What a find! It has excellent rooms, great food and lovely service. The location is ideal also. We'll be back.

Called in here, after a long hike through the local woods, and along the river. We have a Goldie so finding somewhere far a bit of R&R can often be a challenge. The Cafe/bar here looked closed (4.30pm) but in vain hope, I called in to Reception to ask if they could find us a spot for a refreshing cuppa,... More
