A general air of being uncared for and unloved. Despite being bought by Choice Hotels this hotel (which once was called the Dolphin) seems to be anchored in the 1980s. Room was pretty small with a double bed and not enough room to walk round the end of the bed once there was also a chair in the room. Being... more

I stayed in this hotel on the 20th of March for 1 night with my husband and 7 year old son. The staff were all friendly, the rooms were clean and the food, especially the breakfast was lovely. Even better the price of a pint of Stella was cheaper than back home in Shropshire! The negative was the awful stained... more

I booked the hotel last minute through their website, only paying 25pounds, including breakfast. The room and bathroom were very spacious (there even was a bath tab!) and the bed relatively comoftable. Quite old-fashioned decoration, the room itslef was not warm enough (but it was a freexing night and the heating was on all night), old tv and furniture, but... more

We have just returned from The Comfort Hotel and have to say it was a major improvement from our previous stay last year......... POSITIVES:The place has had a re-vamp, the reception area is very modern looking and welcoming, our room which was The Regency Suite was very large, clean and airy, with a super kingsize bed, leather sofa and chair,... more

We visited the Comfort in a group and were very well looked after, the staff could not do enough for us. Checking in was easy and efficiently done - does not always happen with coach parties. Breakfast was good with freshly cooked English breakfast or there were cerials ect if you prefered. Dinner was a basic Xmas dinner but well... more

As always, first thing you find is if the hotel has good parking facilities. This hotel, no matter what is claimed has four spaces. There are free ones along the road outside, but there were no spaces on even a Sunday when I checked in. In fact during my weeks stay, spaces were like gold dust and inevitably this created... more

Booked this hotel for a short break with myself and my wife, both in our late 30's, and decided a nationally known hotel would prove the safest best to ensure a clean and confortable hotel. Stopped in room 101, which is ironic, because it needed sending to 'Room 101' (for those who have seen the tv program). No hot water... more

Decided to take my 9 yr old daughter away for the night to great yarmouth as we enjoy this seaside resort. Booked the room on the friday morning for a stay on the friday night. Location was ideal right opposite the sea life centre and not far from the pleasure beach approx 10 mins walk but everything within walking distance.... more

We needed a room in the Great Yarmouth area at pretty short notice. We usually try to stay in B&Bs on short weekend breaks but as time was getting short and availability was low, we booked a room at this hotel. First impressions were OK. The exterior of the hotel looks like a number of houses have been kjnocked together... more

Booked as a surprise for a wedding anniversary 'Relaxation Break', and we were both delighted! Impressive frontage and foyer, warm welcome from friendly, helpful staff. Shame there's no lift, but I need the exercise! Clean, airy and comfortable room with a HUGE bathroom. Lovely comfy bed, not too hard or soft; just right. Choice of dishes for dinner was excellent,... more
