My husband and I stayed at this hotel on the 24th and 25th July for a pre anniversary break. We didn't get there until late on the Friday night and had to pay for the room without seeing it and the full cost was payable on arrival. We stayed in room 2 on the first floor, with side sea view....... More

We went here at the weekend, this was a late booking, the room was clean and the dining room was clean and bright. The breakfast was ok plenty to choose from. We found it a little dated it was more like a guest house feeling then a hotel, it was very noisy with doors banging there was a big gap... More

A one night stay was a nightmare with the shower not working, very small portions of food (breakfast & dinner) for mid range prices, and walls so thin in the room (and people so loud), I managed an hour. Was knackered. Also the Wi-Fi was like dial up. It claims lots of awards but I don't know how, why, or... More

Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were lovely and very helpful in finding something that our 2yr old would eat. Clean comfortable rooms. At the quieter end of the promenade opposite the Waterways gardens. Breakfast and dinners huge. Lovely atmosphere and very kind and helpful staff and owners. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing long weekend, even with little... More

Stayed at The Kensington for one night on Sunday evening, we were greeted by the receptionist Emily, she was very polite and checked us in efficiently. We had booked a twin room but were given a family room, which was great! Breakfast the next day was lovely, again we were looked after by Emily - there was a selection of... More

My wife and I have just returned from a two night weekend break (with two of our dogs) at The Kensington Hotel. We stayed here because we could take our dogs, for a small fee, and I have to say it was a super stay. The room was clean and tidy and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. Nothing... More

The room was a superior double and was large and comfortable with a sea view, though I am not sure the advertised four people would sleep comfortably there. It would however be great for 3. The staff were excellent and the food both at breakfast and the one evening meal we had during our stay was great. The Wi-fi was... More

Room: we paid the extra money for a premium room, and I don't really think it was worth it. We did get a side-on view of the sea, but the room was quite dated, a little dusty, and it very noisy in the night - the pipe work in the building rumbled and rattled early every morning, and lets just...
