We have just returned from this hotel, we stayed four nights with 'Just Go' holidays. We were asked if we could manage to take our own cases to our rooms but if we couldn't someone would take them for us. Check in was quite quick but we had to wait quite a while for the lift, which only held two... More

We have just had twixmas at this hotel and have nothing bad to say about it.. The rooms were suffice and clean.. You have to choose your evening meal at breakfast time, which didnt really bother us, the menu was a choice of about three or four mains (including veggi) of good wholesome English food. and we wasn't disappointed. breakfast... Well what a lovely friendly hotel. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. They really made an extra effort for Christmas.... Entertainment every night, Good food and PLENTY of it, complete with all the trimmings, mince pies and sweets on the reception desk, fresh bowls of fruit always available. My wife and I were on a short break with Just Go holidays and I was a little nervous having seen some of the reviews. No need . The hotel was great value for money with first class food and great waitress service at all meal times. Our twin beds were comfortable with clean bedding and regular towel change and... More

Room 129 is very small and noisy. It is near the staffs rooms and above the kitchen so don't expect a lie in due to the noise from 6am from downstairs. Soup at mealtimes I think is out of a packet, and the corned beef was out of a tin as it still had the imprint on the meat. It... More

My husband and I booked a last minute two night stay at this hotel. It was extremely reasonably priced (£110 for two nights B and B for two) and excellent value for money. Although the décor is a little tired and dated and in places a bit grubby, the bedrooms were extremely clean with pristine bedding and shower room. The... More

Hotel was in a good location just opposite Wellington Pier. Caters mainly for coach parties and does so very well. Rooms cleaned daily and friendly staff. Bar prices reasonable. Would certainly stay again.

Hoping for a comfortable stay for a few days we were disappointed to find we were in a room which could have done with complete refurbishment. The carpet had bad stain marks on it and the furniture was "tired" The bathroom was very good but not suitable to spend much time relaxing in.
